PS3 - Is it worth the money?

Does anyone here have the PS3? I am considering getting it but would like to hear people's opinions before I do...

I haven't got one but a mate from uni got his at christmas (He lives in the U.A.E) and can honestly say that the thing is the dogs bollocks, although the controllers feel a little weird but I put that just down to change.

Because so many places haven't sold out and have stock left over, it's going to fall in price, so wait a while before buying one if you can.

GTA4 looks awesome if anyone's seen the trailer...

I will buy whichever one supports GTA4 because that game is more important to me than the very air I breathe.

I actually took two days off work when San Andreas came out. I had an entire office convinced that I was going to job interviews because no-one could believe that a grown-up would book time off to play computer games.

I'm strangely proud of that.

I'll probably get the PS3 in October just before GTA4 (October 18th I believe) comes out and it'll be more affordable.

I'm sure God of War 2 will tide me over until then.

My mate the Pilot has one and the lads and I have been addicted to playing Medal of Honour on-line - Its brilliant. You just basically run around in a total free for all blowing people up left right and centre.

Not sure I would pay £600 like my mate did for one just yet as that is a bit rich for my liking but they are good. The Tennis game is cracking too.

Wait for the PS3 to fall in price. Sony have commited economic suicide with this machine, both through marketing, advertising and pricing - and despite all this the RRP of the PS3 is still operating at a loss per console.

always liked the look of wii (sentance sounds funny out loud) but IMO the games look to cartoony, if it had the games of ps2 then i would definately buy one

Now that's the kind of console that simply wouldn't need to be marketed.

I have an Xbox 360 and I was always for Sony but I think the wait and all the hype put me off. So got my Xbox and certainly wouldn't go back to Sony now.
