Pre-order from gameplay.co.uk, not the cheapest and better deals from places like Asda (£22.99) from midnight tonight, but guaranteed on (or before) day of release. :cool:

Played both Pro and Fifa on demo on the 360. For me its Pro much better game play etc, Fifa has improved a hell of alot since 07, But as always theres alot of debate on which is the better game, Fifa has all the real kits and real staduim names as pro doesn't
Pro this year hasn't got any english staduims the 2 teams that have licence are Spurs and Newcastle bit of a change from the top four teams. This year they have patches for Pro for all the Prem kits.

Thats the thing about pro evo - altho most teams dont have real kit and club badges etc. you can buy an option file or download one off the net from someone that has gone and edited these teams so that they are real, and it really makes the game more enjoyable i think. Pes 6 on the 360 was poo because it didnt have the edit mode to do this - but the new one will. Roll on tomorrow morning!

Its all about the masterleagues, i had a quailty one on PES 5. ALthough its hard to pick up points at first i enjoy doing it on 5 star, more of a challenge

Bet that feel good! I was impressed with 2008 verison, its much better than 07 .... not same level as Pro Evo, but it getting there. I already playing as Gower on "be a pro" mode.

It was my flat mates birthday. We went to a few bars and got absolutely battered... Clubs are usually **** poor on a thursday, so i ended up on thursday night buying PES 2008 for the PS2 after midnight from Tesco.
I have to say, it's awesome. Game seems to flow so much better and the player attributes are more realistic, although i feel Barca will be unstoppable because of the attacking prowess. Still, wicked installment and much better than fifa again this year...

My source tells me it's arrived at casa del sufcintheprem. Given that I'm hanging from a work night out yesterday, I'm realistically going to spend several hours on it tonight.
As for the masterleague debate, it's fun but it's nowhere near as fun as the moment your brother scores a last minute equaliser only to be disallowed mid-celebration or when your flatmate who beats you about once a month is beating you 7-0 with 30 mins to go and you get enough people sent off to have the game abandoned

Was my mates birthday last night and, because Thursday's arent a big club night, we got slaughtered at the house and then ventured on a little pub crawl... Come 1am and we were at Tesco's... Bought the new Pro Evo and raced home.
Been playing it all day and, at the moment, havent been overly impressed. It's a bit similar to PES 5... that said the game flows better and shooting from outside the box is a lot more accurate, I've scored some absolute belters today.
Barcelona are far too good though... Attacking prowess of Henry Eto'o Messi and Ronaldinho is immense.

went up and got my copy this morning and like it a lot. Its quicker pace than pes 6 makes it more exciting, and as already said, the shooting is more accurate and makes for some great goals from outside the box (ball came out to lampard with england near half way line, hit it first time and it just missed the post...think the whole street heard me yelling it to go in!). Havent touched the master league yet, but look forward to it, and playing online when they have fixed the laggy effects it has at the moment.
diving is one of the funnier additions - can't seem to get it to work in my favour right now - but in my england v scotland match: 88th minute, that kenny miller lad had the cheek to dive in our box at 0-0...luckily the ref saw sense and booked the scamp :D
overall very happy and certainly worth buying. got my copy of footie manager 2008 last night too so struggling to decide where to spend my time...the missus wont be a happy camper this weekend :fart:

Easy. Play FM, then when some shat team comes and defend for their life nicking a 1-0 despite you having 49 shots and you get really frustrated and start swearing at the PC, play Pro Evo for a bit! ;)
