Club Information Pre-season Fixtures

Seems as though Northampton, Stevenage, Swansea and Millwall will likely all also be there around the same time.
It's a popular destination!...Think they are there a few days after us. We are grouped with Cardiff, Stockport and Bristol Rovers I believe. But, unless the club mention anything we could well be playing Real Madrid on the moon.

Southend United will play a friendly against Sky Bet EFL League One outfit Cardiff City in Spain, as part of a pre-season training camp.

The Bluebirds will be our first opposition of the 2025/26 season, with the teams meeting at the Pinatar Arena in Murcia on Saturday, July 12 (7pm kick-off local time).

In the coming days there will be specific packages available for supporters to join us in Spain.

We can also confirm the remainder of our pre-season schedule, with two more matches to be played at Roots Hall.

On July 26, we’ll be welcoming Johnnie Jackson’s AFC Wimbledon to SS2. The Wombles beat Walsall 1-0 in the League Two Play-Off Final to earn a spot in the third tier for the first time since 2022.

We then wrap up our preparations with the visit of Charlton Athletic. Led by former Shrimper Nathan Jones, the Addicks also won at Wembley to earn promotion to the Championship for 2025/26.

Ticket details for all our pre-season fixtures – including our meeting with Cardiff in Spain – will be confirmed in due course.

Gutted cant go to the Cardiff game. We were on holiday last year when lincoln played Preston. Its a great facility with a great bar area. Have a great time all those going

Surprised there’s not a couple more midweek games against local opposition. Can’t help but thinking towards the start of pre season it would be worth playing one or two more.

We can't do many of the pre-season matches due to Kev having lots of airport runs in, so, delighted we are available for Wimbledon.
