I don’t see how poncing about on The Med is going to prepare the squad for playing on crappy mon league pitches in the middle of winter.

Half our games are played in the Essex Riveria.

Agree, each to their own, But I'd rather take our chances in a straight one game shoot out for a Wembley POF, with 11,000 inside Roots Hall. Rather than suffering an extra game. The downtime between last league game (25th April) and POSF game (Prob 5th May) wont be anything like last season, as there is only 2 weeks between season end and the Wembley final. So max 9 days rest if we finish 2nd/3rd, compared to the 14 days last season. No different to when we are annually dumped out of the FA Cup in Round 1 and have a weekend off!

I've heard from a reliable source that they've requested we leave straight after the match whilst their remaining players are locked in the home changing room.
