Question POTY? (Three votes please)

POTY?

  • Total voters

Gone for Mildy, played well all season and we'd already be down without some of his wonder saves; Scannell, because he's done an excellent job since he's been starting regularly and think he'll be horribly missed now he's injured, and POTY for me is Granty. He's been a true team player all year, played in most positions, got on with his job, not whinged and has played some good intelligent football.

Francis
Mildenhall
Grant

Oops i think you forgot to add Francis Laurent on the list mate :P I probably wouldn't chose him as player of the year anyway but he's an important guy in our team :) When he's on form he's great.

Only voted for 1 (Franno) as don't think anybody else deserves it.

Lets face it the only person worth voting for isn't on the list (Barnard) who achieved more in the time he was here than the rest put together.

Grant and Scanell's form of late has been good so they and it is a blow that Scanell is out for the season. Lets pray for no more injuries!

surely to win player of the season, or be in the top three, you should have played in at least 30 league & cups games that season.

Sadly mvoto wont win :-(

could we not have an award for "most improved player of the season"?!

or how about player of the season award "who did nothing between the months of september - march"?

There's one fundamental reason M'voto won't win Girthy.

He's proper ****. You know this is true :)

Grant

Mildenhall, Grant, Scannell [although close for Franno].

It's player of the season, not player of the last month.

Barnard (28) has played nearly twice as many games for us this season as Scannell (15), and I'd suggest that is questionable whether Barney has played often enough to qualify.

Granty for me - and he's signed a new contract.
Closely followed by Franno and not so closely by Scannell( His good work came too late and now he won't feature again this year)

I am not a big Francis fan sorry to say.

But whoever does get it you can bet your bottom dollar they will be on their way come the summer months = like previous ones

For me it's:
Francis - clearly the quality player in the current squad. Will play at at a higher level.Grant - when fit, he's shown quality in several roles. A player for the future. Can play at a higher level.
Mildenhall - I've been a Mildenhall fan since he was at Notts County. Quality keeper at this level.

Granty just one vote from the elusive 100.......

Cant believe I forgot Laurent from the poll....Dont suppose it would have changed things too much...

1. Grant
2. Mildy
3. Francis

Grant was immense for us before he played as an enforced centre back, if he'd have stayed in centre mid for the whole season we wouldn't be in the position we find ourselves now. A real team player who plays where he's asked and just gets on with it, for that reason he should win.

1 Francis / Grant - can't decide
3 Mildy (only because the defence have got used to him not coming for corners - hence the reason his song rings true)

It's close between Francis, Grant and Mildy but for consistency and quality over the season I'm going for Grant (although being at university I've probably been to less than half the games). He's one of the few players in the squad with real quality, best tackler in the squad, keeps the ball well, always gives 100% and one of the few players who's shown some fight in recent weeks. Shame he's scored more goals in the opposition net than our net though. Francis has too many lapses to get my vote and Mildenhall's distribution is rubbish.
