That can't be good.

If anyone connected to the Club, be it Scriv, Tilly, Barrett or the kit man, says that Corbett's injured, thats enough for me.

Does anyone know if the players were out on the town last night after the presentation night?

I hope they werent, the last thing we need is another forest episode!!

glad to hear it!! I remember seeing them in Chameleon after last years awards, no disrespect but they were acting like superstars and trying to get attention, not being funny but they aint famous outside of Southend!!

Mind you the worst culprits of attention seeking were:

Dreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewe Broughton
Mark Gower
Leon Constantine

er, yeah I know, half of the Shrimperzone Clique were there acting like superstars with them, myself included!

We may well have seen each other!!

I spent a good couple of hours speaking to Michael Husbands and Tes. Seeing as ive known Tes's best mate for a few years.
Must admit i wasnt impressed when he lit up a cigarette.

he wasn't the only one.

you must have seen 5 slightly ****ed blokes doing 'Come On Eileen' with Drewe, Jamie Stuart and Corbett?

well that was me, Napster, Shagster/Flying Scotsman, Bob Cratchitt and Barry Harris.

what a great night

point of order!

replace Gower with Corbett for the dance, and get rid of Barry- they were swapping numbers at that point

I was probably a bit guilty of acting like a superstar, let me explain: Tes, Michael Husbands and myself were standing at the bar joking around and talking football when about 5 or 6 ladies approached us and asked Tes for his autograph with this he duely obliged and then passed the paper to Michael who then went to hand it back to the girls, with this the girls shoved the paper in MY hand and asked for my autograph. Well, me being a little bit struck by this looked at Tes as if to say "do they not relize i dont play for the blues". whilst making this look Michael gave me a pen and i signed the paper to which the girls were very happy about. We chatted to them for a while and then they took pictures of the three of use individually on there phones.

How I felt like a star!

I had a moment like that whilst I was talking to Neil Jenkins in the Roots Hall carpark, a little kid asked him and then me for an autograph.
The fact that I was wearing a replica shirt with ' Jenkins 19' on the back at the time didn't put him off either.

cos you-

a) wear glasses?
b ) have a beer belly?

although Point b never stopped Jimmy Corbett

it was a nice moment in my life!!

To be honest as much as i found it a privelidge to chat to the players i did find there arrogance a bit annoying.
I found it quite funny that after talking with che "what a nice fella" wilsson for a good hour we decided to swap numbers only to find id left mine at home and so had the mrs!! still didnt stop him bibbing me up a couple of weeks later along the a127.
Apparently my mate said that some of the players were involved in a ruck outside? i wasnt there as me and the mrs had left by about 1.30.

apparently Jay Smith hit the guys bird.

anyone got any news on this alledged incident?

Leeboy - so you was heading into the Spread at lunchtime today for some 'hair of the dog that bit you' I take it?
