Only 10 points off second and 8 third.

If that doesn't motivate the players, management and fans then nothing will. This is do-able and everyone must now play their part. Put Wembley to one side everyone and let's concentrate on the league job in hand!

The fixture list favours us too. Only playing two top half teams. Other teams all have to play each other at some point.

We can still do it!! But we can't pull a southend and drop silly points against the bottom clubs at home! Our squad will hopefully be strengthened with tam and reeves for the next game! Promising win to most certainly build on. We need a late surge now!!

Fantastic result today.

However it might be "only" 8 points, but there are only 10 games to go and we would have to do far better than five teams to get in the automatics, thats not going to happen. The play offs are the realistic target and if we can get 9 points out of 3 winnable home games we could find ourselves back in the pack.

A great win for us and much needed one too! With Col Ewes losing, make it the best day we had for a while .... let hit the town of Southend and party :D

What a fabulous result! Feeling a lot more positive now, we may just sneak into that top 7 after all.

Nine points from the next nine would go a long way to achieving that goal, hopefully we won't waste this opportunity against lesser opposition in the coming week.

COYB!

That's probably our best result of the season. But there's no way we'll take 9pts from the next 3 homes. So poor at Roots Hall, especially against teams that sit back. 6 points would be good and would probably keep us in the hunt - just.
