Port Vale Game possible team

Daft idea to rest them, playing is the best way of keeping the run and confidence going, and is better than training where injuries can just as easily occur.

Only concession I would make to normal would be when Bailey & Macca get booked to take them off to avoid any sending off risk.

I agree with that but also think Tilly could tinker a bit in the second half with the subs to try out different tactics depending on the score at the time of course.

If we draw or lose against Trammere
A possible team against Port Vale
Collis
Grant Liptak Harrold Herd
Scannell Moussa Lokando Black
Kanu Hooper
Subs Revell, Flavs Macdonald, Ademeno, Walker
Otherwise the same as against Trammere
Flavs
Francis Clarke Barrett Mulgrew
Scannell Macca Bailey Gower
Barnard Walker
Subs
Collis Revell Hooper Grant Black

this team could work without harrold at the back as he is completely s**t and maybe revell on the wing instead of black

Ar5e, I wondered if they had switched ASN to Wednesday night, was waiting for it on Tuesday but was confronted with that dire Ade Edmondson sitcom.

Did Tilly say anything else of note on there last night?

They do it on Champions League weeks I think,

I only caught it because I thought it was Thursday and had to check the TV guide when Heroes didn't appear at 9pm on BBC2!!!

He didn't really say too much apart from a cheeky "I might have to give him a call" when they were talking about Darren Huckerby being released from Norwich.

After giving this some thought i would fo with the same team we have been going with, you dont change a winning team and we want to build up momentum heading into the play offs, if we were mid-table and had nothing to play for then i would give other players such as Herd and Lokando a run out.

Still want to see Hooper back in the squad when he returns

Whats the point in tinkering with a side on a role unless as stated above anyone is carrying a knock or close to the card ban limit.

Get the full team out, spank the depleated Vale side and go into the playoffs brimming of confidence.

Alternatively if people want to try something out how about

GK - Turner
RB - Austin
LB - Brush
CB - Duncan.R
CB - McScriven
RM - Hobbs
LM - Tilly
CM - Duncan.B
CM - Clubshop Steve
CF - Dear
CF - Wheeler

Subs
Elvis, Sammy, Uncle Ron, Geoffrey, Frankie Banks

Slightly worrying that if we get any injuries to defenders now Grant, Liptak and Herd are our only reserves.

Harrold would be a better defender than a striker as he does get his head on quite a lot
there is no chance that we will ever see Matt Harrold as a CB though.
