Polling Card

which begs the question why do we not look to implement the e-vote, after all the current system is open to abuse, as i know a way to find alot of addresses and post code of people who are not going to vote or are dead but have been sent a ballot card.

Same reason internet id fraud and banking details lost are a problem.
The frauded comited at the polls is significantly less and a logistical more difficult to achieve.

We both know that is not in the same league, and that there are ways and means to be able to use e-voting which will limit fraud to the same level seen with the current voting setup.

There was something on the news about houses with loads of registered voters and them voting by post...

Smells a bit fishy to me :)

On suggestion was giving a reason as to why you are postal voting and only accepting legitimate ones. Not sure that would work though and it is a bit of an invasion of privacy!

Cash dear sir and the idea of creating a national database and secure counting system that would not have to be sponsored for 3rd parties .
If only say 100 people lost their id's on the internet that's 100 votes mislead

In Theory maybe but the vote rigging that happened with ITV and their competition's show it can be done.

On what platfrom are The Shamen running this year? Is it all about Love, Sex and Intelligence once again?

I quite liked their promises of immortality in Phorever People, and the fact that they are relocating Ben Nevis is another positive.

Wasn't the ITV voting done via calling a phone number, or via text?

So we can pay our taxes, fill in Tax returns and even register to vote but you think using such a medium is a bad idea.

I do agree at present the financials to implement such a system would not be the best thing in the current financial climate we find ourselves in.
