Polling Card

No, provided you walk to the polling station. They only take the card off you if you arrive at the car park by car. Hope it's not too far away mate.

Depends if you can remember your number off it! Yes you do - at least as far as I know you do, it's proof you registered to vote isn't it? Bad man MC!

No you don't need the card its just makes it quicker at the polling station, you will probably need some ID with you though.

The polling card helps, but it's not compulsory. As Bluesgirl says, be sure to have some form of ID though.

Take an old pair of your pants for DNA testing.

I'll send them to Gordon Brown instead to make him fully aware of my thoughts on his time in power......

Thanks for the comments everyone.....I wish the wife would realize that a stack of papers should not be dropped into the nearest drawer just because her mum is coming over.....So annoying, its how things get lost.....!!

BBC first time voters guide was telling people you don't need it ! It's an easy reference for them .

Ok, fairy muff, I'd never dream of going to vote without mine though - and lucky me, I have 2 this time!

Aaaargghhh, why do women feel they have to do that, just because their mother is about to walk through the door??? You have my full sympathies!!!

The answer to that is simple.........hidden paperwork or a rant from the mother-in-law that starts with putting things in their proper place to you are a disappoimtent you know :scared:

No card or id needed. Just as long as you know where you live.

which begs the question why do we not look to implement the e-vote, after all the current system is open to abuse, as i know a way to find alot of addresses and post code of people who are not going to vote or are dead but have been sent a ballot card.

Exactly. i've just been and know that my neighbours on one side submitted postal votes, but the other sides haven't voted yet. Mr C might have a couple more votes coming his way if I can find a wig.
