Political Compass - interesting site

An excellent summary. To make it even shorter:

For the left, there is no wrong, unless you're white, christian and you work hard.

For the right, anyone can be Wight, as long as they are willing to do their bit.

edited for correctness........as well as keep the money for themselves and fek the rest of you....

Hmm, lets ask Peter Tatchell and Edward Heath for their input on this

Harold Wilson got

John Major had a bit of

The choice is yours......

So, I get a stunner either way then. I can't lose. Smashing.

Harold Wilson's one looks as though she'd be really grateful for a bit of action and we all know Edwina's well dirty..

Left want to give everything to everyone else, regardless of how hard they work for it and once they have it and have trashed it, its not really their fault.

Right will reward people who try hard and dont break the law.

That’s a fairly simplistic view Fred and I’m sure Mr Firestorm could give you a more articulate answer, but he’s got the ump because his Celebrity candidate was voted first out.

Mate you've got it wrong. Left want to take everything from everyone else because they can't be arsed to work for it.

Right want to take everything from everyone and will work bloody hard for it. And they are sex gods with 18 inch willies.

According to that site this is how current UK parties are.
The BNP are closer to New Labour than Cons (no surprise there)
I'm halfway between Greens and LibDems. Very strange as I've always thought of them as more atheist than either Labour or Cons.

Great. That just confirms there's absolutely nobody to vote for in this country anymore. (Lets face it, The Green Party?)

Nowhere near any of those, but the Conservatives speak sense. Whether they'd lead the country well, that's another matter.

Certainly not in my constituency, that of the lovely Keith Vaz.......

Not much chance of him loosing his seat with a majority of over 15,000!

What annoys me most is that he has only attended 27 votes out of 530 in the Commons, which is only 5.1%........

Quality bit of representation there, but I guess that's another debate......

These days, my philosophy when it comes to voting is just to do what I believe to be right and see what happens with a clear conscience. I'm not going to give any of the big three my mandate by way of a tactical vote.

The Greens have polled upwards of 20% in a General Election in Brighton, so if their manifesto matches your beliefs (and only you can decide that) why not give them a go? It's not beyond the realms of possibility if they continue to grow that they might get an MP or two in the house, and at worst you have the reassurance of knowing that you didn't vote for the government. ;)

That's exactly what people should do, I don't buy into the "I'm voting Labour/Conservative because my father, his father and his father's father all did" way of voting. Make your own decision according to your principles - and that can often be different at local level to what you might vote in a General Election.

Oh I'll vote most definitely: I'd vehement in saying that everyone should but I certainly won't be voting for the big "three".

Join us oh fellow homospian of non defining sexual orientation , (socialy imposed gender defining oppressive label) . Link arms and we shall send our positive waves to realign our poor dyametric opposed breatheran , lost in their totalitarian (though non judgemental) perception of the great earth mother .

Osymandus, you are obviously a very intelligent sort of chap so I say this without wanting to cause any offence to you, your friends or family.
