Polishing my new boots

Right, so I got new boots for my birthday not too long ago and joined a team not too far before that.

I got them quite muddy in my match last Saturday over at cupids, but I took them home and cleaned every speck of mud off them and now they are as new. I also stuffed them with newspaper so they keep there shape.

When they first arrived though, they had a nice shine about them and I'm just wondering how I can get that back and what product I would need.

Thanks,
Elliot

I'm 6'4" and can kick back :)

Anyway, why would you get kicked for blue boots?

Saturday/Sunday football in coloured boots = Big mistake.

Something you learn very quick. You have to be one hell of a player to carry off coloured boots. With them boots you will stand out a mile from the rest of your team (unless they have coloured boots as well) and makes you an easy target.

When I was younger, and slimmer, I used to play right wing in all manner of coloured preds and I was kicked left, right and centre. I was only 16 at the time. Now I'm in goal, and the last couple of seasons on pitch it was black boots only.

What position do you play?

I play striker... and you've scared me slightly :)

I've not had a great pre-season either, our manager has laid out some hard friendlies! I'm working to get fitter at the minute though.

Anything else I should be warned about whilst we're at it?

Make sure you buy yourself some good shin pads...

Black boots all the way!
I play right wing and my mate plays left wing, he has coloured boots and I have black boots and he always gets a few more lumps kicked out of him!
Got some new boots today that are nice but got them in black again, I used to be a bit small for my age and played up front and got lumps kicked out of me every week but still managed to score more often than not but have moved on to right wing now and it's a lot harder work!
Our training involves 30 minutes of non stop running though and thats after running from Southchurch to Chalkwell on the beach on a Wednesday night as fitness training!

Practice your footwork. It's a little known fact that Cristiano Ronaldo's stepover routine was developed on the fields of Madeira as a way of keeping dog turds off of his Nikes.

But the real question is:

Who cares?

Thanks for that very exciting information. Ever thought of writing an autobiography?

If you are a playing striker you should look forward to being kicked in every game as it means more free kicks and more chances for your team to score. Be a team player.

I used to wear a pair of white predators playing saturday football and i didnt think i got kicked anymore or anyless than i normally would have done.

However you do look a real tit if you are a sub wearing coloured boots...
