Freddy still not fully fit and Sturrock wants to protect him a bit maybe. Not a bad managerial decision at all.

Freddy said he feels fit and sharp, looked that way last week when he come on. If there was another player in form ahead of him then fair enough...but there isnt.

Freddy also wants to be playing the full 90 minutes and will probably risk pulling something if it means he gets more game time.

He might feel fit but cannot possibly be match fit. He has hardly played all season, inc pre season.

What he needs is what he's getting, 25 - 30 + mins a game until he is capable of lasting 70 mins, then he can start and if he tires, be replaced. We have 7 games in October. I'm sure he'll get some game time.

Just a shame Corr got sent off at a time when we need as many players as possible.

The voice of reason

The sooner Freddy is in the side at the start the better, but if he isnt fit he isnt fit, despite what he says.

Id rather he was eased in than thrown in and then had another calf strain which would put him out for another month and would be the real terrible managerial decision....

Agree that he cannot be 100% match fit. The only way that can happen is to play games.

From playing football myself i've always found that coming on in the second half did very little for my fitness personally.

Thought it would of been better to start him and if he is showing that he is worn out then bring him off myself.

Lets hope he does get some game time.

Fair comment but he seems desperate to get Corr on (not knocking the decision to get Corr on) who is way off fitness and been out far longer/more injury prone than Freddy. Very contradicting behaviour......unless of course he doesnt favour a Mr Eastwood?

Or he feels that Mr Corr is more in need of the game time than Mr Eastwood.

From where i was standing, it just looked corr seemed to flick out a hand at Purse who was then mortally injured. Corr should have known better, but Purse was instrumental in his dismissal. How many times do we see that in footy now !
I think a draw was afair result after a very drab first half !

Corr deserved his red card. Stupidity is being polite! He had time to think about what did and lashed out. All that said, the ref bottled sending off the Plymouth player who kicked out at Corr. The ref was looking straight at it and the linesman should have spotted it!

agree, was a bit of a tussle but instead of moving away Corr moved towards Purse again and Purse threw himself on the floor like there had been contact, but I don't think there was. Without wishing to sound too Alan Partridge, Corr let himself get sucked in.

Whatever happened , and despite the over reaction of Purse , if you raise your hands , you run the risk of being sent off.
Corr is a professional and knows this - stupid to say the least.
