Please Tilly - Give us a striker.

JCR has 2 in 60-odd games playing out wide and has also spurned shed loads of chances in those games.
So? What's the relevance of that? Neither you or I are suggesting making him the focal point of our attack. Are you? Note I posted this when only your 1st para had come up.

Anyway, I give up. I can't argue against the logic of a non goalscorer playing as your main centre forward, as it's Baldrick like in it's cunning. The opposition just won't know what's hit them.

As they say at Westminster "the aye's have it". I am now a fully fledged Bradbury is God convert.

The relevance was that you were holding his goalscoring record as a winger against him which I think is rather unfair. I'd have thought that his goalscoring record as a striker gives you more than enough ammunition.

I'm not trying to convert you and I would have been more than happy to see an Adam Boyd, a Roy O'Donovan or a Pawel Abbott come here and take Bradbury's place. It didn't happen but I don't think that's any reason to be pessimistic about our chances.

There's where you're wrong. It's his attempts on goal from anywhere on the pitch I have an issue with. But there's enough of you think he's good enough so I can't argue against that. Hopefully T&B have more sense, but somehow I doubt it.

No we got relegated because we didn't score enough goals! As we were shipping them in at the one end like no tomorrow, we needed to make the best of our chances at the other end..

Thats Kevin Keegan tactics of the extreme nature :)

True we didnt score enough goals but if Bradbury had scored 15 goals would we have stayed up.

Whillst he is certainly not going to score goals Bradbury allowed us to hold onto the ball more and actually build some attacks, before he came back into the side we werent able to do so.

For next season I personally would like to see someone else up front but can see he may get used for his link up play.

Said it before and I'll say it again... should have gone for Aaron Mclean when he was just down the road at Grays. Provided he keeps free of injury he will be a 20 goal a year man for Peterborugh and I wager will score more than any of our lot up front this year and probably more than any three of them put together.

Well its one game gone and its Aaron Mclean one....... Harold, Paynter, Macdonald, Bradbury and Hooper total Nil.

The fact that McLean plays in a lower league doesn't have any impact then?

Do you really believe McLean would've been a viable option for us in the Championship!?

Yes I do. The Guy scores goals and the step up in standard wouldn't have been a problem to him, in fact had we gone for him last January I believe with every once of faith in my body that we still would still be a championship side now. I've watched dozens of strikers in my time supporting the Blues and the prolific scores, the 20 goal a year men come in all shapes and sizes but they all have one thing in comon and that is a burning desire to get on the score sheet every time they pull on a shirt. I don't see that with any of our current lot. Yeah sure they might run around alot and huff and puff but none of them look as if they even beleive in their own abilityto score.

Hate to say this Skyblue , but I have a nasty feeling you will still be posting this come May

Too right I will... I just hope Brush reads this site because he apparently looked at Grays last season, at who I 'm not sure but if this lads goal scoring tallents and all round ability didn't impress him I don't know what would. I do wonder if they were both at Orient at the same time and Brush had some sort of dislike for him back then.

Sitting in the Townhouse tonight, drowning my sorrows, I saw our former striker on tv, putting his feet up on the Wolves bench.

Sort of rubbed it in that bit more

The most frustrating point today was the one on one that Hooper had when the ball ended up behind him

Its glaringly obvious we need a striker
