The Wee Birdie
A wee birdie told me that the gaffer wants it to be known that there has been no official bid for any of our players. There has been the usual agents murmurings that they know clubs that are interested, and one club has phoned to sound out, wether we would sell. I can assure all fans that if anybody is sold it will be at the club and gaffers prices nobody is going to move on for nominal fees.

Good to see you're up early, Cluniemore.
Whilst its good to get an internal perspective, I have to say I'm not as convinced as most that you are who they think you are. You're playing a good innings though!
Good to hear anyone leaving will be on your terms.

If our player is leaving etc, its only on Mr Sturrock and the club term, not what we get from their bid, if they bid too low, then they should bugger off lol!

When my wife called me to look at it I initially thought it to be a lapwing, with its exotic crest but there again I'm about as much an expert on ornithology as I am on football! With a bit of research I found out that it was a Hoopoe and was the first time since ten years of living here, that I've seen one in our garden.
I had feared that the wee birdie had migrated up north, never to return again to the SZ garden. Personally, I'm very pleased to see him again and hope that he will become an occasional if not regular visitor. I'm encouraged to hear that he values and looks after our flock. It has always been the case that the more spectacular of our birds move onto larger and more nourishing gardens, that has and probably always will be the situation with our club. For me what generally hurts the most is when one leaves our garden without ever having revealed, to us, his full plumage.......back to the Hoopoe!!! Considering that only a couple of years ago virtually all the birds left our garden due to a lack of food, losing one now, would not be that catastrophic...........although I'd rather prefer it wasn't the Hallfinch or the Grantcatcher.
It's good to hear your song again and have to admit, for me, your tweets on here are easier to understand than the interviews on BP. :winking: Of course in the SZ garden there are a number of cats around but I would think that you are a wily enough old bird not to be intimidated by them. I'm disappointed not to be on my way to England for a Wembley Final.................................but hoping that next season we can go one better and avoid that kind of calculation.

He did say something along the lines of "a wee birdie told me" at one Q&A which was taken as a reference to cluniemore

I think it has been raised before that it is most probably his daughter, he said she was his 'eyes and ears' when he first took the job 2 years ago.

As a wee birdie think the gaffer would rather be thought as the nearly extinct rare scottish bird the capercaille, it is very shy only spied now and then but when cornered shows of his talons , he loved your ditta hopes to read many more.

You mean the Capercaille that, when flushed, bursts out of cover very noisily? Concerning the fact that he is often polygamous and takes no part in domestic duties, doesn't worry me at all...................as long as he gets us promotion next season.

The capercaille is, as we all know, a bird that spends most of its time feeding on the ground and little time in the air. Certainly something to emulate. !

Good to hear luggy. I think we were all a little worried when the rumour of Hall moving to Rotherham for £100,000 came up. That'd be a bitter pill to swallow.

A good example of people knowing how to use google and wiki so far.

I suppose if anyone has a grouse with cluniemore they can attend the 'meet the cluniemore day' on 12th August. I'm sure that would be glorious.
