Player well wishes for the final!

"One half of Wembley erupts" - an unforgettable line but, 10 years ago the commentary also said: "This Club just does not know when it is beaten".

We've proved that so often over the last few years, coming back from the brink of losing our Club, and then, notably, most recently, against Rochdale and FGR.

We are Southend United, we don't do things the easy way, don't allow your heads to drop if things go against us because it's not over till it's over. We keep going to the final whistle.

You CAN do this. YOU deserve it. WE deserve it. Watch the penalties on the clip, no silly gimmicks, just leather it. Hard.

Know that we are all with you, have a ball out there on Sunday and write your names in the history of Southend United Football Club.

And Cav, if you score in an away shirt rather than a home one, I will totally forgive you!

It's been a season with many highs and lows, and here we are at the conclusion, a Wembley play-off final.

Everyone has played their part to get us here, and it's through togetherness, determination and that never say die attitude, we now are on the verge of another great moment in our club history.

It's your stage, your time. Soak up the occasion, take it all, give everything and enjoy climbing those stairs at the end to start a brand new chapter in League 2.

Good luck lads!!!!

To the incredible players and staff of Southend United,

As you step onto the pitch this Sunday, know this — you are already heroes in the eyes of every single one of us.

This club has walked through some dark days, and yet through it all, you’ve stood tall. With resilience, pride, and belief, you've not only kept the flame alive — you've reignited it. You’ve given us something priceless: hope, pride, and the dream of reclaiming our place in the Football League.

You carry the badge with honour. Every tackle, every save, every goal, every ounce of sweat has meant the world to us. You've reminded us what it means to be Southend United — a club built on heart, unity, and unwavering spirit.

This final isn’t just a game — it’s a moment. A moment to show the who we are. A chance to write a new chapter in the story of this great club. Take this opportunity for yourselves — you’ve earned it. And take it for every fan who has stood by through the highs and lows. We believe in you, completely and unconditionally.

But whatever happens on Sunday, know this: we are proud of you. Immensely. You’ve given us our club back. And for that, we will be forever grateful.

Now go out there and make it yours.

Up the Shrimpers
Brilliant
Nothing more to say

Nobody expected us to get to this point. It's an amazing achievement to even get to Wembley, but I know that Kev and the players will want to finish off this story. So my message to them all, is to listen to the roar from the Southend fans, we are behind you - we love you - let's get this last chapter sewn up and show everyone what a bunch of fighters we are. Imagine FGR x10. You'd be heroes.

Leave nothing on the pitch lads, moments like this rarely come around so be sure to take it all in , stand tall and play your hearts out, winning at Wembley will be a memory you, your family and the fans will never forget

Ask Juppy, Che, Barrett, Corr et about the memories etched in their minds and how the whole town and beyond were with them that day

Its a huge thank you to the team and management staff from me!!

35 years ago my Dad took me to my first Southend game and I've been obsessed ever since - and this year was the first year my son joined me with a season ticket - and to see him fall in love with this club has been the biggest win of this season for me!

A few weeks back I was offered tickets for us to attend the FA Cup final, but part of me was dreaming that his first trip to Wembley would be to see Southend and I turned the tickets down - it felt a long shot but thanks to this team now that dream is coming true and I'm so excited to see his face as we walk up Wembley way and into the stadium to watch Southend!!! - he's singing himself to sleep every night...."weeeere marching on with Maher's army!!!"

Win or Lose you've already given me and my boy a day and memories we'll never forget - so thank you and you've gained another lifelong shrimper!

But that said.... give it everything, we'll be behind you, and get us out of this league :Winking:

All those lads who stuck by the club during our hardest of times, not being paid, with training facilities unfit for a Sunday league outfit - Bridgey, Ralphy, Cav, Noor, Harry T., Goal Scoring Machine, Cokes, Morts and Collin - you're Southend legends already. Anything on the pitch on Sunday is just a bonus. The same goes for those who moved on - Powelly, Mauro, Wes... even Handsome Harry signed on so we got a transfer fee. And I've probably forgotten some. And the new lads are semi-legends from their performances so far in the playoffs. What a group of players. Up the Shrimpers!

Quick shout out to the squad players too, maybe those called back on loan and our youngsters, Mikey Faulkner, Beau etc you're all a part of it hope you have a great day. Will never forget the day out at Yeovil going out of the FA cup and the absolute support for the team that day, despite losing, our squad literally bare bones. You've come a long way since Huish park.
We're Southend United and we are back and the fans are still here, we watched a relegation from our sofas during covid but now we are out in force, making us the biggest non-league club. Go do the business, boys.

Sunday isn’t just another game. It’s the result of every early morning, every drop of sweat, every time you pushed yourself when no one was watching. You’ve trained for this. You’ve sacrificed for this. Now it’s time to play like you own it.

On Sunday make Wembley yours. Every blade of grass, every inch of turf—fight for it. Play with heart, play with pride, and trust your teammates around you. Leave nothing behind. Win or lose, make sure when that final whistle blows, you walk off with no regrets.

Let’s make this moment count. Let’s make history.

On Sunday go out there and show the world who Southend United are.

Leave everything out there, have no regrets. Getting to final didn't look likely but through hard work and team spirit you've gone against all the odds and managed it, and in dramatic style!

You've made the end of this season unforgettable whilst bring pride back into being a SUFC fan. Feed off the fans support and imagine scoring that winning goal to send the fans wild, write yourselves not only into the history books but more importantly permanently into fans memories of supporting this wonderful club.

All we ask is for you to give us your all one last time, we're proud of you!
