Player well wishes for the final!

It's been a turbulent few days with the play-offs being over shadowed by ticketing issues, which several threads have understandably dominated.

Just thought as we are now fastly approaching the game, it would be good to put all those issues aside and flood the players with well wishes for the game. After all, for many, this will be the biggest game of their career.

I will send these on before the game.

Over to you ....

Look what you fools have done, given us numpties hope when hope had left us. You’ve earned this opportunity to write your names into the history of our wonderful club. For me and many of us, you already had but this is the icing on the cake. Enjoy the game and win for yourselves. We’ll do our part from the stands.

Come on boys!

To the incredible players and staff of Southend United,

As you step onto the pitch this Sunday, know this — you are already heroes in the eyes of every single one of us.

This club has walked through some dark days, and yet through it all, you’ve stood tall. With resilience, pride, and belief, you've not only kept the flame alive — you've reignited it. You’ve given us something priceless: hope, pride, and the dream of reclaiming our place in the Football League.

You carry the badge with honour. Every tackle, every save, every goal, every ounce of sweat has meant the world to us. You've reminded us what it means to be Southend United — a club built on heart, unity, and unwavering spirit.

This final isn’t just a game — it’s a moment. A moment to show the who we are. A chance to write a new chapter in the story of this great club. Take this opportunity for yourselves — you’ve earned it. And take it for every fan who has stood by through the highs and lows. We believe in you, completely and unconditionally.

But whatever happens on Sunday, know this: we are proud of you. Immensely. You’ve given us our club back. And for that, we will be forever grateful.

Now go out there and make it yours.

Up the Shrimpers

You're the better squad and have an incomparable spirit built on the hardships of the past few years. Have belief, work as hard as you always do and play your natural game - you will win. Tens of thousands of us are right behind you, at Wembley and at home - we could not be more proud.

You can and will win this game. No reason to be too nervous - all your friends to whom you mean so much are here in our tens of thousands. We will outnumber and out sing the Oldham fans just as you will outplay and outlast the Oldham team. They are strong, worthy opponents but you are stronger and your strength and never say die belief will bring victory. Your names will be added to the names of past heroes - Best, Beesley, Garner, Firmani, Angell, Carruthers, Collymore, Eastwood, Cox and Bernard.

Best wishes to the squad and management.

Best wishes for Sunday, leave nothing out on the pitch. We are so proud of not only what you have achieved this season, but HOW you have achieved it.

GOOD LUCK!

ONCE A SHRIMPER, ALWAYS A SHRIMPER

#NEVERGIVEUP!

Four of your teammates have walked onto that hallowed Wembley turf before, felt the roar of the crowd, and battled under the bright lights. Now, it’s your turn to write your own story.

When you step out onto that pitch, remember who you’re playing for—the badge, your teammates, and the 25,000 Southend fans who will be there, standing shoulder to shoulder, singing your names, willing you forward with every kick, every pass, every tackle.

Play with pride. Play with passion. Play for Southend.

This isn’t just another match. It’s a chance to etch your names into history. Go out there and give it everything.

Fear no-one, you have got this! To get this far, with such pride, passion and dogged determination is just incredible.

Oldham are there for the taking, just believe! believe in yourselves, in each other, in what you all do best, and in the power of the 25000 Shrimpers who will be there and the many many others who will be watching the stream, all of them roaring you on! No matter what, we are Southend! We are so proud of everyone connected to the club and the team.

Good Luck and give it your all. Enjoy the day, and make sure you all enjoy your moment. You deserve this!!

Over the last few seasons we have had a massive pile of constant $hite thanks to ratty.
Then on the other hand we have had a group of players that have shown the rarest trait of all. They have shown over and over they care about this club every bit as much as we do. They could have walked and gone somewhere they would have been paid etc etc.
Never been prouder to support a group of players more than you, Miley, Husin, bridge, Morris, Coker, Taylor et al.
Thank you.

Use those wings, get your crosses in, make Oldham sweat. Work as hard as them and then we've got enough creativity, we've got goals all over the pitch from all positions. See an opening, make them pay.
Stay confident and remember the barmy blue army are right behind you all the way. We love Maherball !

You beat me to it, @Leeboy ! Mind you, I am glad you did as I cannot find my photo on my phone. I was on seat cleaning in the South Lower stand that first clean up day, and made numerous trips to the dressing room for fresh water. It was quite educational, in terms of the state of the facilities. Glad my message of encouragement is captured in time...

I only returned to the area from exile in Bristol in the summer of 2023. I did not get a season ticket that season but managed to get to 17 home games. The six I missed due to two family birthday celebrations and a couple of holidays away were Solihull (5-0), Ebbsfleet (3-0), Chesterfield (2-1), Gateshead (0-1), York (0-1) and Aldershot (4-1). Despite missing 4 great performances in that lot, I cannot remember a season I had felt such pride watching the team, especially when we were down to the bare bones. We should have been in the play-offs then.

This season, I got a season ticket. That was a no-brainer. I have only missed one home match all season, including the 3 cup matches, again due to a family birthday. And I have felt real pride watching the team, even when performances have dipped. They have continued to show real resolve, despite the residual disadvantages from the previous regime.

It has been a brilliant effort, particularly over the second half of the season, to show the required consistency to get into the play offs. The last two matches against Rochdale and Forest Green have been bonuses, but more than that, they have encapsulated that backs against the wall don't give up mentality, and that is what we want to see at Wembley on Sunday. Go for it, and we will cheer, whatever the result.
