Don't think i have enjoyed one game at home this season.....get 2 for 1 with McCOYS crisps and that is about all it is worth under this manager. A bloke that does a half time team talk on the pitch and the same fella tells everyone that the automatics are beyond us when just 6 points behind with 27 to play for is just weird!
That's fair enough, you're entitled to your opinion. Not necessarily one I agree with but there you go. Don't know why you're going on about the team talk, that was something that happened years ago (and not at this club), and hasn't (and I probably safely say won't) happen again. And I actually give him a bit of credit for that, he was trying something different. OK, it probably backfired on him, as it gives people a stick to beat him with, but better that than people who come out with the same thing after every game. As for the bit about the automatics, you don't know what he's saying behind closed doors to the team, he might be saying something totally different to them...

Well i have never heard the BBC ESSEX fence sitters lay into a manager like they did. Pennyfather and Speller went on and on about him throwing the towel in....couldn't believe it. I would say that it took it's toll on our performance but to be fair it was a carbon copy of the other home games this year.......drabbbb!

The Wycombe game was enjoyable (although the result wasn't great) and I seem to recall that Stevenage wasn't too bad either.

Which goes back to the old arguement of enternatinment vs results.

The game against Wycombe was arguably the most entertaining of the season but I left feeling deflated by a late equaliser. The York game was pretty dire but lifted by a late winner.

In additioan to Stevenage and Wycombe I also recall Shrewsbury and AFC Wimbledon home games being good (although we lost the latter).

Cambridge and Dagenham away were both very good and whilst Stevenage was ultimately very frustrating it was packed with incident. I could not go to Portsmouth or Oxford but they both sounded great on the radio.
