Pets

Maurice the rescue cat has now reached 19yrs old and shows no sign of dropping off the perch. Normal routine now, get up around 6.30am scream for food, eat the lot and biscuits and drink the world's supply of water, then his dementia kicks in and he forgets he's been fed. Waits to be carried up to his bedroom as the stairs are just too tricky, uses litter tray as outside visits are too hard, waits to be put on bed and wants to be brushed. This routine is repeated around 5pm every day. He had his Well Pet visit to the vet last week, verdict - very healthy. We want a dog and he hates dogs so I might just leave him on a park bench somewhere, that would teach the little git.

We had a cat (Sooty) who managed 18 years old which I thought was impressive for a cat but looks like Maurice is still looking slinkie and strutting his stuff. Fair play to him.
