What on earth is that? Brown trying to be clever and I have a horrible feeling it's not going to work.

Deegan holding and then Thompson, Atkinson, Leonard in front with Payne behind Barnett?

Prosser not even on the bench, Kyprianou (or Kipriani according to the club Twitter) on the bench.

Desperately defensive, not to many crosses for Mr Barnett I fear. oh dear ! and naughty stool for Pross ? Goodbye

Barnett must be loving life, signs and talks all about how it'll be great to play for a side that gets so many crosses into the box, debut is the shambles of last week, and then the next game there's no wide players in the starting line-up.

Appears Brown is panicking more than us fans, feel sorry for the new lad, he is going to be busy.
Any offers on timing of Deegan booking:'(

****ing ridiculous, Brown now needs to go. I've been a big fan of him ever since he took over but this takes the ****. He would rather draw 0-0 than win a game but concede in the game, i.e win 3-2. No width, no attacking threat bar Payne. Thompson is NOT a midfielder and we have a perfectly good one in Timlin on the bench. If Glen Rea was still here it wouldn't surprise me if he played up front. If we win this game its by luck not tactical genius. Prosser being outted is ridiculous too

Oh my god. That is a 8-1-1 formation. Just going to invite pressure as the ball will not stick with Barnett up there on his own against 4 defenders, allowing the full backs to push forward and exploit the lack of width in the midfield, thus pushing o'neill and Hendrie into a back 5.

This will create pressure, meaning long aimless balls out for the back to Barnett on his own. Repeat until concede....

Here's to a 1-0 away win.

If Thompson's playing in midfield I find the decision strange to say the least, I'm assuming Timlin isn't deemed fit enough to start? I was expecting (and agree with) 5 in midfield but thought Timlin would play, even if not surely Atkinson would be a more natural fit.

It could be a back five however (three with 2 wing backs), I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Can't see the problem with going for a point away to a team that average 2 goals a game.

Just think that's too many defenders in the side if we need to chance shape to chase the game if (when?) we do concede.

Hope this doesn't come back to bite him. Our 2 best Midfielders on the Bench, Timlin and Worrall. Absolutely no width and surprise surprise managers favourites Leonard and Thompson start !

If this doesn't work when we've been slaughtered playing so narrow in the past few games he really needs help as effectively with Deegan and Thompson we're playing with a back 6 !

Still can't believe Thompson preferred as a midfielder over Timlin.

I like it, i think its a good move. Peterborough are a good side, we want to keep them out as much as possible.

Thompson has played midfield before, most notably in our 2-1 win over Portsmouth at Fratton Park a couple of seasons ago. Bottom line is we need to arrest this bad run so nothing wrong at all by setting up hard to break down away to free scoring Boro and see if we can nick a goal.

Back 4 with 5 in mid one holding, Barnett doing the best he can up front with little support, that's how trainings gone anyway
