Breaking News Pepple recalled by Luton

I think thats a good point , about RELYING on that one ( or two ) Loanee heavily?

We knew about the break clause in Bims contract and Kev has been talking about getting more players in for months. Presumably there is/was contingency planning in place, especially if you know you have the second smallest squad in the league. The loan departure, the injuries are going to amplify problems

Not sure if Kev doesnt like loanees, we seem to have accepted thats the case, but if it is , that perspective can also bite you on the nethers

Heres a different approach and perspective

1. York city league leaders brought in 11 Loanees this season , currently retain 5 of them i believe. (Ones gone, so what., next ? ) Wages shared, a lot of players get looked at, Your squad is a decent size

2. Gateshead 4th in the league, Brought in 10 loanees, Have retained 5

3. Barnet 3rd in the league, Brought in 7 loanees, retaining 3

4. Oldham 5th Brought in 13 loanees retaining 4

5 FGR 2nd brought in only 3 loanees retaining 2, but been buying, like Caldwell rumoured £145. Plus 6 free transfers coming in

These clubs will constantly take on board loanees

But it doesnt work does it Kev?

They maybe near the top despite having lots of loanees rather than because of having loanees?

I asked this before - what's in it for the loaning club or the loanee if the club they're going to already has 5+ loans? It surprises me clubs let players go there if they're only going to be squad players.

How many loans and squad size have other clubs in the league got?

Very disappointed, but half expecting it.

However if I was expecting it, the Management team should have been, so I hope wheels are in motion for a replacement.

In the meantime, I also hope Danny Waldron gets more than 2 minutes a game, as we need him nearer to fitness now, for the short term at least. If only he could go on a goalscoring run like Bim!

Agree 100% with you, i have had a season ticket for years and have one this season but haven't been to a match for quite a while as the football and tactics on display are just so damned awful.
It's absolutely up to everyone to do what they want, but this is such a shame to read.

I understand that people want entertainment, but nobody can tell me that what's on offer now is less entertaining than the uncompetitive (nay, embarrassing) dross served up under Bond, Campbell and Molesley. It shouldn't matter that it was at a higher level, we come for Southend, not the opposition.

The club and team needs us. It's not like going to the cinema - if I'm not interested in a film then I won't go to see it, but then I don't have the strength of feeling for a particular actor, director or cinema chain that I do for SUFC.

As I said, each to their own. It's just a shame. Patience was kept reasonably well over the last year or two, so I'm finding it hard to fathom why it's suddenly evaporating as quickly as it is - it's barely been 6 months.

Agree that it's a huge shame as I have been going for 53 years but the play served up by the current Team and Management is terrible and has been terrible all season with the very odd exception.

The club should be worried about how many season tickets they will sell next season.

As it stands they are definitely -1 and the sense on here is that there are many others considering the same.
Surely people need to give kev and COSU a break here. This season has been a car crash from way beyond the season starting. COSU need time to get the ship running again and it takes time and a lot of money to make good all the mess left behind by Ron. I agree that the football could be better but maybe due to missing out on certain targets we are playing the best way kev feels with what he has on offer. Im not certain thats the case personally but im willing to give him the benefit of doubt and if we are still in this position this time next year then i feel people have the right to ask questions. But lets see where this season takes us, have a full summer of hassle free activity, a full pre season, no transfer embargo. Surely as a fan base who nearly lost their club people can have some patience.

For what its worth if people dont want to attend games then so beit. Ive been fed up of sitting near people moaning and moaning as if we are a normal club again. We are far from that. however, nearly 600 people the weekend before Christmas at York, 1600 NTD, 8000 plus Boxing day still remain behind the club. We are two wins from the play offs with plenty of pts to play for. Three games from a Wembley final. Its not all bad

Tango man too

I’d definitely take him now on a short term basis as he knows the role and we’ve badly missed him. But only on a short term basis and until we sign a new striker. But look I’d be amazed if it was even an option. Anyway it gives a chance for Kendall to step up and thrive.
Don’t you think that it’s an opportunity for Waldron to step up and thrive as well?
After all he was the leading scorer in the NLN last season.
I’m baffled as to why everyone has written off DW.

Ffs i've only just got the hang of Canadian boy song.
Those images of the hand over the ear after his goal at Braintree, going nuts in front of us at Rochdale after the Walker goal, ahhh adios Bim
Drat.
