Breaking News Pepple recalled by Luton

It might help, and not aimed at you, if people wrote opinions as opinions not facts. In my opinion.
Everything on here is opinions or assumptions, this is why we look to the club for facts, but as with governments they will only tell you what they want to tell you. I don't believe anything I'm told since covid!

You might want to read your own language on posts 245 and 251 re telling people they are wrong and stating ‘fact’ rather than opinion.

The jan 9th deadline and then ‘we are safe for the season’ has been mentioned by other posters in here who tend to be correct so personally I have no trouble believing them and don’t see their posts as condescending in the slightest, but that’s me.

Somethings on here are an opinion rather than a fact but at the same time it must be incredibly frustrating for any posters on here who do know the ‘facts’ and see see incorrect ‘opinions’ being expressed and repeated that they know to be inaccurate

General point not aimed explicitly at this post or even this thread

don't know how reliable these guys are:

Sky Sport journalist tweeted about the move to Chesterfield so imagine it's relatively accurate.

I'm surprised that he's going there though and not sure how many minutes he's really going to get given their attacking options. He's done well for us but I can't say I've watched him play and thought he'd be good enough this season to play for a side in L2 heavily backed for a top 7 finish at the start of the season.

I think in hindsight this move might backfire and he will have wish he stayed and played the rest of the season with us but I genuinely hope for his sake that's not the case.

I personally find it difficult to believe everything I'm told, some of you on the other hand do. The only thing I see as fact, is where we are in the league and what the results are. The worrying thing for me is, if the talk about Luton only able to take him back within the first 10 days of January is true, we should have a plan ready?

You're not talking about Pete O'Rourke are you?

We have 15 players out injured - Grigg out long term and Madden hardly played this season through injury. Had to play Drummond (recently loaned to Oldham) up top which is as good as playing with 10 men. We are down to have youth teamers on the bench and a 16 year old striker making his debut as a sub - Pepple is more of a short term fix for us and will be starting the next however many games until reinforcements are back and we can get the season going again.

so can we have him back after that please 🙏 😁

Well unless its a permanent deal which also wouldnt surprise me as Cook likes this sort of deal. Young player with potential who can be turned into a valuable asset later down the line such as Dobra,Berry,Sheckleford etc in the current side.

We recently walked away from the Akinyemi and Stones deals as they wanted huge fees apparently for either which is unlikely to be worth it and with the big earners sitting in our treatment room (John Fleck,Dunkley etc) I think we have to be careful!

So if you have players coming back from injury in due course, and Bim may not get into the squad in a few weeks' time, what chance a loan back to Southend so he can continue his footballing development?
