Breaking News Paul Brush Dismissed...

This all sounds too CONVENIENT to me, it smacks of I NEED to make changes but are scared to sack Tilly as the Fans will revolt, so let’s go for the easier option.

Ron it is your management of the club that is screwing us up, not the team management!! Are you surprised the team are lacking fighting spirit if you are not paying them on time.

Just to take a look at Leeds, Forest, Charlton, Southampton to realise there is no such things as ‘TOO GOOD TO GO DOWN’.

I am positive this move is just as much a surprise for Tilly as it is for us.

Can anyone who knows Tilly even slightly, see him going into a fit of pique that he can no longer work with Brushy. These guys have accomplished a lot together that it would take something the size of the Terry/Bridge spat to cause such a reaction from Tilly.

Tilly has slept with Brushy Mrs !!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is terrible news!!

He has been a hero last few years, and for me is equally as responsible for the good times as Tilly.

Something else we are not going to be told fully about.

We are now relegated

I normally agree with most things you say, but how is protesting going to help the team before the end of the season. I know things need to change quickly and we do have a MAJOR chance of going down but I don't think protests will help the players. Would support it in the post season though..

After the game in Car Park what it will do is show that we dont approve

This is what is planned by those on Facebook - HERE. Can you really argue with the sentiments?

Post-match protest - SUFC V Exeter City FC

Type:Causes - Protest
Date:Saturday, March 13, 2010
Time:5:00pm - 6:00pm
Location:Car Park - opposite East Stand/Club offices

Description

The first of our proposed demonstrations to force the board to hear the distain toward the way our Club is currently being run, and the uncertainty surrounding our longevity.

We are not trying to force the hand of those fans who may be undecided over Ron Martin's intentions, but if you support and love the Club, please join in our protest against the unanswered questions and string of bizarre decisions our board has chosen to make in recent months.

We shall be gathering in the car park, opposite the East stand post-match.

Please be aware, we are fully encouraging ALL fans to back the team and management for the full duration of the game. Only after the final whistle, will the demonstration begin.

Surely for Tilly to sack Brushy, it would be the other round.

Anyway this was just an analogy to show what would be needed to cause such a rift between the two.

So is the main driver to cut down the wage bill or to put pressure on Tilly to walk, or for us fans to turn onto Tilly?

i do feel that we may see a number two coming from within, or at least someone who does not mind being paid or at least on time.

Or maybe because Brushy may not be as nice as we all think!

We can never be sure what Paul's personality actually is behind close doors. Not only his.

Still a bad decision! Maybe? Probably!

Thanks for everything Paul. Good Luck.

Sorry Ron, would normally stick by you, but this time, you've lost the plot!

Tilly & Brush just 'worked'. The only thing that has changed is the resources they have to work with - not their ability. The problem lies with whom ever is sanctioning (or not) the resources available.

They have had nothing but forever changing loan players, barely enough players to put out sometimes with youths on the bench to make up the numbers. If the management had more time to spend with a settled squad rather than on the phone chasing loan players every day, maybe we wouldn't be in this mess.

This and all the other goings on over the last six months has a rather unsavoury smell about it.

I am absolutely gutted about this, I fear Tilly will follow very soon. I just don't know how he can stomach this much longer (unless it was a falling out with Brush)

"We're too good to go down, as we were in the Championship"

How deluded/arrogant is Ron? We're not too good to go down, and we certainly weren't in the Championship.

Clearly something isn't working.. The players we have are good enough so maybe a change of management is what's needed. Who would you rather keep, Tilly or Brush?

The times I have meet Brushy and that has been quite a few, he has been nothing but a great guy.

For instance at the Meet the Blues Day when SZFC played the Old Boys. Brushy came into our changing room and had a chat with us, then after the game he sat with us and talked with us all just like a regular guy, he had no superiority complex, whilst the other old boys were in a different room.

Similar when we have done our fundraising for the Angelina Our Star Appeal, he has been very supportive and helped us in whatever way he could, similar to Tilly.
