What? He was our best attacking threat, and was nowhere near knackered. Should of swapped Assombalonga for Corr and Hurst/Reeves/Mohsni for Tomlin and gone 3 up top for 10-15 then taken Eastwood off if he was blowing by then.

I thought the game largely passed freddy by to be honest. At least Britt offered some sort of threat from a ball over the top, but freddy offered little for me. Correct double sub, but really corr should have started.

Agree with your points regarding Eastwood and Britt but I don't see what else Sturrock could have done, he picked the best side available and the best tactics possible and the players just weren't interested you could have Mourinho managing the useless bunch of ***** tonight and we would have got 0 points. I don't know who people think is going to come in and turn this around, Mohsni was awful and should have come off.

Not saying I disagree with you - but your thread title calls for the manager to go, but your thread blames the players? Are you suggesting we change the manager, the team, or perhaps both? I'd be inclined towards the latter tbh

Wasn't there today, but thought we played well on satdi - whether it was a mistake though could depend on all manner of things aside from his match performaance

I doubt PS had much choice when 8-9 players are carrying knocks or injured.

Well i have to sign off for today fellas ,have to go to the city to see a surgeon about an op, while im there i will ask him if its also possible to do a few heart transplants on some of the Southend players ,because it appears to me that many of them are lacking in that area.

Im afraid PS is past his sell by date and must go, also whoever inherits this motley crew of players that call themselves professionals must cull them and bring in fresh blood next season. There is no way forward with this present squad of players !

Don't think we'll need to worry about freshening up the squad for next season. Half won't want to stick around and the other half aren't even ours. Dare I say it we could be in the same position as when Sturrock started 3 years ago without the embargo (we hope!)
