I didn't go on Saturday , but read lots of criticism of our midfield.
With that in mind and given that I think we should take the game to Oxford , this would be my line up.
The traditional 2-1-7 formation.

Smith
Ferdinand , Thompson
Leonard
Hines , Nouble , Robinson , Ranger , Cox , Fortune , McGlashan

Subs : Collymore , Eastwood , Ansah , Angell , Corr , Benjamin , Bexon ( in case Smith gets injured )

Smith as rush goalie too!

Fully expect NR to return to the bench, think we could of done with him on Saturday with 10 men just for the presence against their solid number 17.

i would drop Wordsworth, really laboured on Saturday and slowed the game down constantly

Although he didnt have a great game i would move Timlin next to Lenny, Mcglashan outwide and if fit O'Neil on the right

Stick with the front two that started Saturday, think MAF was unlucky to be subbed

After Saturday we really cant afford to lose this game, a win great, draw very creditable.

Me and the boy going, hoping for around 450-500 others. Anyone know how many we have sold?

No need for any changes apart from Atkinson needing to be replaced. We are playing so well with the current set up including at Millwall on Saturday. O Neil may be the best as he is a similar grafter to Atkinson which leaves Wordsworth free to be an attacking threat. If we start with McGlashan that means two flair players in midfield who are not so defence minded. This could cause problems especially in an away game.

Didn't we concede notlong after MAF went off?:'(

I agree with almost all of your post apart from the highlighted part.
You are far from alone in making the point about MAF coming off , and whilst I get this point , I see it more as 'managing a player through 3 games in a week' , rather than the perceived 'substituted as he wasn't playing well'.
We have a number of decent strikers now and I think it's the right thing to rotate during games to keep them fresh.

Yep, perfect.

Too defensive for my liking!Thompson and Leonard are energetic so :- Mooney instead of Ferdinand.
And if the bench is for formidable former strikers :- Jason Williams for Bexon!

Yeah I though that , but didn't to rush Mooney back.
Jason ...................... not yet................... sorry Mrs B

Actually not sure, but either way he wouldnt have stopped the goal. The goal came from the lad outwide given too much time to cross the ball and JD being beaten at the far post, some have even said that maybe Smith could have done better.

Yep thats a fair point

Think I'll give this one a miss as Barça's Champions League game at PSG is live on the box here.

The chance of seeing Barça lose is too powerful to resist.

Or he plays with freedom and a lack of fear and inspires us to a convincing victory. A bit like Lee Sawyer when he first came to the club. Point is we aren't going to find out until he is pitched in and my argument is that there is unlikely to be a better time than tomorrow. If he has been brought in to play youth and training games only it would seem to be rather a pointless exercise to sign him. I'd rather blood him now and see if he is a viable option for the run in. It is now or never in my opinion. If O'Neill, Bridge, White etc (playing out of position) get in ahead of him then we might as well send him back to Spurs now.

I can see that - Amos needs time on the pitch to show what he is capable of. I'm just suggesting a lower risk option would be to bring him on when we think we have a game won and 15 minutes left rather than at the start of a game.

Going to this one and looking forward to it (the misses is pleased). I hope the boys use the annoyance of saturday to spur them on and to go for the win. Two losses on the bounce against rival teams will really set us back so lets have it blue boys!!!
I reckon a 2-1 to the shrimpers!!

About to leave for the match now, getting something to eat before heading to the match. See some of you there!
