Never understood that they had a good setup there, I guess they had **** all there non match days

I heard that the club owned it and put the rents up and up and........ perhaps a busy day once a week for 9 and a half months of the year wasn't good enough if true?

I was told by family who live in the village next to the ground that the land lord had his hands in till.

No bissness will last if you dont balance your books...................Ronald :)

But you have the bowling ally, hotel and frankie and bennys.................Also Scott the Oxey is the best chinses and well worth a visit

When I was a regular away supporter in the 70's, 80's and early 90's..the previous results did not make any difference to my enthusiasm to support the club away from home. In fact, if we were on a (regular) bad run...all the more reason to show up, keep the faith and support the lads.

I'm with you on that one Kev...the thread "for the 1st time in 21 years" is not a good omen though...I'll be at Oxford with my nipper on Sat

Can we get tickets on the gate at Oxford. And the best place to park, is there street parking near by.
Large free car park at the ground.Best to get there fairly early as soon fills up.Can be a bit of a nightmare to get out at the end of the game.

I would have gone as it is an away game that is reasonably close to me but I'm moving flat on Monday and my finances will be swallowed up by that. Next game for me will be Portsmouth away. I'm definitely not missing that one!

We are going and taking our Grandson, its his first away game, despite it only having 3 sides I like going to oxford, easy parking and a nice Frankie and bennies to have lunch before kick off, got our table booked and looking forward to the day.
