I'm not doubting we did, but it still went on for nearly 300 years.

It still went on for 300 years internationally, though our "contribution" was a lot less. The argument was about us ****ing Africa over and causing their current poverty.

The point about Ethipoia/Somalia still stands too.

Also, were you aware that for a similar period of time Europeans (and eventually Americans) were also victims of a slave trade from Africa?
 
I wish someone would inform my wife that slavery has been abolished. Not only am I being made to paint our bedroom over the weekend, I'll probably also be a slave to her lucid sexual perversions. It's a hard knock life....
