Over Zealous Parking Attendant

The wife got a fine yesterday, the ticket was on the dash, shutting the door caused a draft which turned the ticket over. - Hence theparking fine.

The fine is for failing to display (as opposed to failing to purchase) and includes displaying correctly so, whilst she is going to write to them, I doubt if much will happen.

I often return to the motorbike to see that my ticket been pinched.......

Easy for me to say of course as I'm not in the situation, but I'd be claiming all day long that the error was theirs and that the ticket was displayed clearly and obviously. There's no way they'll be going to the expense of taking you to court when you'll be able to show a valid parking ticket should it get there.

Unless of course, they have photographed the vehicle from all angles which proves categorically that there was no visible ticket. I'm guessing that's unlikely.

I'll have to watch myself in future on the "display correctly" as I always leave my ticket in the most inaccessible place, upside down where possible, to make it as awkward as possible for the little Hitlers to read.

Councils should be forced to go back to sticky tickets if they want to impose fines for incorrectly dispayed tickets...

PMSL, Trust me you stand no chance.
I got a ticket for being 5 minutes late after Jamie (your cousin) was sick all over me at your house. Went down the Civc centre wearing my sick stained shirt filled in a form got the woman dealing with the paperwork to witness the sick and I still had to pay. Week later got another parking ticket.
Oh and dont forget its birthday soon, and I don't want 'I had a parking ticket fine' as an excuse.

I wont be paying the thing.

Even more annoying, and it must have happened to you LF, is a perfectly able bodied person parking in a disabled space.

What was really annoying was my disabled wife was with me - so you'll find the blue badges were used legally and appropriately.

Kerry Fairless i claim my free copy of the daily mail as i now know you are lord football.

Nice bit of detective work. Anyone who works in HMRC, refs locally or remembers Blues on Tour could have told you that. Come see me and you can have a bag of sweets. (or see my brother, I've had this parking ticket......)
