Our remarkable November record

Without wishing to jinx us for this Tuesday and Saturday, it is worth pointing out that we have now not lost a league game in November since 2009. Since then our record is Played 22, Won 15, Drawn 7. If we could replicate that over a season you are talking 108 points......����

Conversely, we haven't won our first league match in December for even longer (2007) with 6 defeats and a draw. I trust I have just jinxed Bradford.

The Echo made a back page story of this last year. It is a really remarkable record and hopefully in continues for a number of Novembers to come.

Am I right in saying that our December record over the same period hasn't been that great? If so, I think we need to look at the two months as a pair, and take an average. That way November won't get noticed as anything special (and can then perhaps continue under the radar) and December can be ignored as a statistical anomaly!

• We have had 3 managers
• Lee Barnard and Franck Moussa have left twice
• Adam Barrett has left and rejoined the club
• Ron Martin has declared that 'work on the new stadium will begin' 2,745,881 times
• Southend United have appeared at Wembley twice
• Southend United were subject to 85 winding up petitions from HMRC

Some things have even occurred outside of the world of football:

• 2 Olympic games & 2 World Cups have passed
• Syria's ongoing civil war has begun
• Prince William married Kate Middleton
• The Higgs Boson was discovered
• Russia annexed Crimea
• Raoul Moat's standoff
• US ended a 54 year boycott of Cuba
• NASA found liquid water on Mars
• 2016 will have occurred marking the formal beginning of the apocalypse
