The only player i could see making it into a pre side such as Sunderland right now, is Luke Guttridge, this kid can go as far as he wants to.
Really disagree with the Maher comment. You say put any pressure on him but he's fine most of the time. It's when teams put two players on him that he struggles as any player would. The reason he's playing better IMO is that Guttridge can move the ball about almost as well and if Maher's in a hole, Gutts can deputise in a way Bentley can't really.

Ont he subject of Guttridge, the kid has passing range, vision, a tidy shot, good technique on both feet, fights for every ball, times tackles well and is surprisingly good in the air. At this level, he looks like a complete midfielder and could definitely make the step up in the same way that Dean Whitehead has.

Gutts is a talent no doubt about it. We do indeed have quite a few individuals who could play at a higher level as has already been pointed out.

Oh for the days of Rio Alderton and Jason Harris. Ok, perhaps not.
