Question Opinions on Current Club Crest?

OpenFC

Centre Half
Hello, I'm a design student working on a football project and would like to know what you fans think about the current club badge?

I've always liked the badge with it having the key ingredients that make us Southend (a football, three notched Saxon seaxes, a shrimp and the waves)

Always wondered what it would be like if someone was to redesign it with a few more colours. I've only ever known it to have limited colour (white and blue or yellow and blue)

No No No.

Please leave it alone.

Let’s see a Rasta version

Leave the badge alone!

Essex football club, by the sea, nicknamed the shrimpers, all summed up pictorially in the badge.

The changes clubs like Arsenal and West Ham have done to their club badge are garbage and look like they've been drawn by a 10 year old!

If you're bored go and muck about with Col U's!

The enamel pin badge I bought in '78 had the Essex badge in red, with the seax's in a brass colour, as was the football. Shrimp and the waves were blue iirc.

My personal favourite.

On the shirt it looked like this.

He only asked for opinions on what supporters think of the badge.

People are "answering" a question that wasn't even asked. The poster only asked what we think of it. They didnt say "what changes would you make?" People need to read posts properly before getting all weird about it. It might be part of a wider project on brand recognition and the role of club badges. Back off. Chill.
