How very sad, poor kid, she was obviously deeply troubled.http://www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto...e1298958.ece?CMP=OTH-gnws-standard-2013_08_10

Personally,I have no problem carrying around my Spanish ID card (which is in my Shrimpers Trust cardholder now as I write) but I always refuse to buy an Oyster card when I'm in London, (like Mick Jones of the Clash), as I don't want the government (or Big Brother)to know where I've been travellingto and from.

Toughie. Knee jerk I'd shout the house down and ask serious questions on where I'd failed in life. Much as some on here might find disagreeable I have a massive problem with the whole gay issue. I've stated my views enough times on here but in simple terms what the eye doesn't see ..... And this will upset people. Gays do not, in my book, have any rights when it comes to marriage and kids which should be the preserve of heterosexual procreation. Unfortunately it is far too easy to get married these days so marriage in itself has already lost its meaning. Do I actually care if this upsets people? Genuinely not. I respect the rights of others to disagree
Then I'd go away and evaluate but I have a real problem with this question !
I honestly doubt it. You love your kids unconditionally, that doesn't matter if they're heroin addicts, gay or layabouts. Not doubting you'd have some difficult times in private, questioning your upbringing etc, but I seriously doubt, in this day and age, that seemingly enlightened people would be reacting so alarmingly if it really did happen to them.I am with you on this if my son was gay ****ing heaven help him!!!
Buy pay as you go and top up with cash then !?
Ever heard of travel cards?
Ah, but I don't have a mobile phone of my own.I borrow my wife's, or one of our daughters phones, if I need to make a call while I'm out and about.

Does a travel card last a month ?
I have an oyster card and just top up once a month and dont have to worry about getting tickets as Im in an out of the city all the time. I also cant be tracked by MI5 either (not that I particularly care if someone knows Ive been on the tube.....)
As I imagine you're aware, you used to be able to get a weekend card.Sadly these days it's only a daily. If you're only staying for 3/4 days or so there's no problem in getting a daily card (in advance) for each day of your stay.It only involves one transaction at the ticket office.
.So much more convenient than me just topping up my oysters once every 6 weeks or so....
.
Convenience is not the issue here (for me).Freedom is.

I've got an annual Oyster card as my company were offering interest free season ticket loans, and I can't stand queuing up to use the top-up machines on a Monday morning. It's quick, it's easy and I don't have to think about it as I never see the money.
I also stop MI5 from spying on me by wearing a tinfoil suit to work every day.
Wouldn't worry about it. The NSA already have every second you've been on the internet (poor sods:winking:)
