This game is huge, let’s make no bones about it. This is bigger than the Man U game. This is bigger than the last Play-Off game with Northampton, back in the League Two days. It is also bigger than the LDV (as it was called then) Area-Final with our friends from Colchester. This is quite simply the biggest home game we have had in a very, very long time…

Now, more than ever before, we need to back the lads 110% as we play quite possibly, the most important double-header tie of all-time. We are all in this together. We are all part of the Southend United family, with the same dream to make a swift return to The Championship.

There is no excuse for not getting excited about these two games. There is also no excuse for not singing louder and prouder than you have ever done before! Every single one of you needs to perform your duty to the club...

That means backing the lads, for every single one of the 10,800+ seconds they will be on the pitch, here at The Hall and at the Keepmoat next Friday.

This is your final chance to really help inspire the team on to Wembley. Do not let yourself and the team down. One team, One Passion, One Voice is our motto. Let’s all adopt this Friday night and next Friday night and sing as one, United for Southend. We can and we will make a difference. Believe in yourself and believe in the team. We are going to do this, together. Come on Southend!

Superb simply, superb.

just reading all the posts has started butterflies really cant wait for tomorrow. Hope we all get the hall rocking as being a small ground i really think we can to quote delia "be the twelth man so come on people Lets be aving yer are you ready for this because we have such abig part to play tomorrow. Leave negativity at home and no matter what happens tomorrow cheer the team from start to finish and we must carry the support up to Donnie next week because even if we are losing when we go up there remember last year Forest thought they had won and last week so did Torquey. WE CAN DO THIS

I wish tomorrow was a 11,500 sell out like the Man United game!! By the looks of it we may have less fans in the ground than against Port Vale.

Bump.

Come on people, lets make an extra special effort tonight.

Lets be 'avin you!

Heard Peter Clarke on the radio this morning saying they know they have to do the job on the pitch but the supporters have their part to play and can be the twelth man.

I can't wait for tonight.

COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be in good voice from 3pm in the Railway.......

Adam Barrett has just been on the Look East news....

PLAY UP SOUTHEND...... get us back to the Championship :-)

ONE TEAM IN ESSEX
SOUTHEND UNITED FC

See you in the railway about 5pm

West half way line will be in full voice tonight, and my youngest daughter will be with me and she has only seen Blue wins at the Hall!

It will also help if every chant is pro southend and not the pathetic ones aimed at the opposition fans i.e. your support is ******* ****, is that all you take away, sit down shut up etc.
Just give it the big un' for the Blues.

Great thread, if the groans could be even louder than usual tonight we'll have no problem in making Roots Hall as intimidating as possible for our boys.

I will definately be on team's back tonight. Everytime we give the ball away I for one will be groaning and muttering under my breath. After a while this will culminate in a more audible "F*cking hell, Gower/ McCormack/ Black". One thing I've noticed is that too many fairweather fans wait until the 70th minute before shouting at Tilson to "get Walker/ Black/ Gower off"- tonight let's start this from the off with the first poor touch. If everyone shows this level of commitment we can be certain of never making it to Wembley which would of course give us plenty to moan about once the new season starts.

Altogether now:
"F*cking hell Southend, this is sh*t!"
