Ollie Kensdale

Has former Shrimper Michael Klass playing with him too. Tight old league down there where 8 teams are all in the mix of winning the league as it stands.

Really does upset me seeing him throw away his career like that. Loved watching him develop from the raw player when he arrived, has been a real miss to our team but what he did was unacceptable and the club did the right thing.

Hope he’s turned it around now and can get on the straight and narrow. Focus on his football and what he’s best at.
Thrown it away? They'll probably be above us next year.

Assuming Kensdale remains with Eastbourne, we won't be seeing him next season, one way or the other.
Have just watched the NS play-off semi, which has to be said was awful.
Quality? It makes us look like Barca by comparison.
Incidentally, Maidstone brought on a lumpy Harry Kyprianou for the last few minutes. I'm pretty sure I know who ate all the pies.

Always knew this was going to happen (Ollie moving to a higher league). Still feels like a kick in the gut that we didn’t ever get a fee for him. Especially as Ipswich were watching him.

His whole situation is a real shame.

This was a poorly kept secret and had been in the works for some time.

Hope he’s got his head down now. Great player on his day and destined to do well as long as he can subdue his issues.

Will be interesting to see him back next year, if we do go up this season.

Was kept well away from me, had no idea it was happening 🤣

I really like Ollie and was one of my favourites so was saddened to hear about all the issues etc and the fact he had no other choice than to go but he is young and I wish him the best of luck and had a niggly feeling he was gonna get snapped up

Before everything came out, we had serious enquiries from MK Dons, so going was always on the cards. However, what then happened, happened, and I know he left on very difficult circumstances. I have been in touch with him ever since he joined Eastbourne, and he was genuinely regretful at what happened, sadly gripped by gambling habits. He did get the help he needed soon after leaving us and wanted to rebuild. Obviously, it would have been great for him to still be here, but the circumstances made that impossible. However, everyone has their mistakes in life and deserves a second chance. I wish him the best of luck in his move.

Good player on his day so not surprising someone had given him a second chance. The bigger issue was not his well documented actions but how disruptive it proved to a great group of lads and his lack of remorse once caught. That shows plenty about his character and I’m glad we got rid.
Do you know that for sure because it's 100% contrary to what I heard?

I don't judge on peoples 'habits' as in no position to do so. But stealing from your work mates to fund them is as low as it gets. It clearly had an impact on results at the time and was major contribution to our poor start. We gave him his break but his behaviour has cost us.

So I don't wish him luck. He's already had his luck because in any other profession he would be finished.

It took us time to settle but we're a better team without him now. Yes, he's a very good distributor but he's an average defender and he's very little threat in the opposition box. Every cloud. Good luck to him.
