Oldhams Fish & Chips

I know the owner and it’s actually AI but the thought is there

Drove past there earlier and assumed the signage had been changed back after the publicity photos. Never thought of AI.

Rather disappointingly they haven't changed their name for the weekend as they led us to believe.

Poor, and misleading. All a bit naff in my opinion.

Brilliant, my late Dad always used to pick up fish & chips from there on a Friday to feed us all, good Catholic boy 😄 also fell over outside after a long drinking session after a last minute winner, Sheff. Utd. maybe, 2-1 I'm sure, over an Easter many years ago 😁
Yes I remember that game! Think it may have been an early KO - early 80’s?

@TSG Your memory serves you well Sir:

We drew against Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 at Home the Saturday before the Easter Weekend when we played...

...Sheffield United:

1979 - 80 Season
League Division Three
Good Friday 4th April 1980
(and there was certainly a midday / morning KO on a Good Friday around that time)

Southend United 2 - 1 Sheffield United (0-1 at HT)
Southend United scorers: Mercer, Poutney

Southend United Team: Cawston, Moody, Yates, Stead, Hadley, Cusack, Mercer, Poutney, Spence, Otulakawski, Nelson. Sub: Gray for Nelson

Attendance: 5,959

Well, that distracted me from tomorrows match for few minutes!
