Old songs which would be cancelled nowadays

Leeds Leeds and Leeds and Leeds and
Leeds Leeds and Leeds and Leeds and
Leeds Leeds and Leeds and Leeds…
We all f**king hate Leeds!

In your Liverpool* homes
You look in the dustbin for something to eat
You find a dead cat and you think it’s a treat
In your Liverpool homes

*normally sang v Tranmere Rovers

The latter was always a favourite of mine at northern away games, I think by the end it had be transposed to "In Your Northern slums". I even heard a second verse once:

In your Northern slums,
Your mum's on the game and your dad's in the nick,
You can't get a job 'cause you're too f**king thick,
In your Northern slums

Southend boys, we are here
Shag your women, drink your beer
with a knick knack, paddy whack, Give a dog a bone (can't remember if this verse was changed)
Southend boys are big and strong

Dead rat not dead cat.
I’ve heard this on tv recently, pretty sure it wasn’t vLiverpool …or Tranmere.

I remember the last line being,
Brian Clough can f**k off home

Not sure if that’s due to his time at Brighton or his pursuit of SVC towards the end of his reign as Forest manager.

I can't remember any problematic songs tbh. Our fanbase has always been one of the wokest in English football.

Go back to the late 60s early 70s to hear some of the best terrace songs . Songs in the charts at the time were popular , two spring to mind Steams Na , Na , Na , Na , Na , Na, Na , Na , Whey Hey Hey Bill Garner , Chicory Tip Son Of My Father Oh , Gary , Gary , Gary , Gary , Gary , Gary , Gary Moore . Great songs from The North Bank .

One song I would love to hear adapted is Baggy Trousers by Madness. You could easily sing, for example:

Harry Cardwell, Harry Cardwell, Harry Cardwell, du du du duuh (repeat)

Everyone could jump up and down as well to give a nice tifo effect on instagram.

Looking back, there probably weren't many that would pass today...

As well as the ones already posted I'm reminded of:
  • Harry Roberts is our friend... (Harry Roberts was a convicted cop-killer)
  • Over the wall we go, all coppers are bar stewards
One that used to make me chuckle would probably be ok though.
F...
U...
F U C... (cue the old bill getting ready to nick us for offensive language)
FUC me walking down the street and I start to cry each time we meet.

Got to remember too that we had at least one Gary Glitter tune that we had chants to.

Knock knack paddy whack give the dog a bone why don’t Col u **** off home.
One problem with that one : it always has been extremely rare to see anyone of that miserable variety away from their sheep-pen.
(Very, very few of them inside it too),
