Oh dear!

Always amazes me where these 'pikey' facts originate from. I've lived in leigh for the best part of my life and the only 'pikey' communities i am aware of are in Canvey, Wickford and basildon, and they are certainly not football fans.

Correct BBBL, I believe Southend Council has zero places available for 'travellers' yet Colchester has at least 20 allocated places available and from what I hear there are quite a few camped up around their new stadium.

If they want to use racial slurs then let them show their true colours. If they meant "chav" they'd say "chav" - it's by far the more common term and the references to mobile homes, etc. betray as much.

It's no coincidence that the "pikey" nonsense coincided with the tenure of a certain Mr. Eastwood at the club. As it goes, if I have to choose between Freddy and Col Ewe's very own neanderthal chav Jamie Guy as somebody to be a role model for youngsters then it's not a particularly tough decision.

erm I went to Fairways school and a whole class of kids were gypsies from Bohemia Chase and Woodcutters Avenue. Mmm wonder why those roads are called that. :)

PS I think the original post was a joke. I thought it was pretty good banter.

I think it was too, let's face it, it was complete over exaggeration! Oh hang on, isn't that a bit of a speciality with the Beeb at the moment? ;)

Thes pikey facts come from a similar minded source to the farmer and sheep facts, or to put it another way its called banter.

Bah.

whatever we are at least we support our team which is a lot more than can be said for col ewe. that amount of away fans for not even an hour journey was shocking. really pathetic to be honest. but i suppose when you struggle to get 5k in your bran new ground you can't really expect a lot. a lot of their fans might be thinking why bother moving grounds. we don't get anymore fans
