 That guy, Lee Perry in Echo letter got it spot on, Tilson should go to Norwich for a talk as longer we hang on to Tilson, more it unsettle the squad.

I reckon Newman is the one who bugging Tilson to quit Southend and make him go to Norwich.  If we go to last 4 game with Southend 4th from bottom & Norwich is 3rd from bottom with Tilson in charge of the budgie, I really wanted Tilson to fail!

Ron Martin has f%&ked up here because Tilson should have been allowed to speak to Norwich. Personally I don't think Tilson would have got the job anyway as he has no connection with Norwich, is not a big name and has little championship let alone premiership experience. Naturally they are going to be interested in him because of his success, but giving Tilson a job like that is a huge gamble for any board. The trouble now is that Norwich may be more determined to go after the one they can't get... probably resulting in Tilly doing the offski over the weekend. Time and time again it has been shown that the best way to lose a succesful manager is to forbid him from speaking to potential suitors. Why has RM not taken note of this fact, especially when lessons could have learnt over what happened at Layer Road over the summer? If we lose Tilson I dont trust RM to pick a decent replacement. Webb (mk III), Newman and Wignall were uninspired choices and lets face it he only stumbled upon Tilson by accident.

Not used to you making a sensible non jokey comment but agree with your sentiments.

Dont think RM did a lot wrong as he acted in the interest of the club but i think in heinsite I would have preferred to have let him speak to them.

Still no blame to RM in my book...Done his best for the club again.
