Ask him if he know why his Dad's not mentioned by name in Anton Johnson's King of Clubs, as the person he sold the club to.
Also, according to Johnson's account, Vic wanted him to wait until the South Upper flats were built before he'd get any money for his shares in the club.Is this true?

DJ: Yes (Vic was Daves brother not father)

Can you take the 'Ticket office' thread print-outs, and see what he thinks.

I personally think it's taking the pee out of loyal fans trying to watch and support S.U.F.C. in difficult times. Surely this is a way to lose fans or make them think they can't be bothered with all the hassle involved. This is a time when the club needs every supporter they can get to turn up on match days.
In some ways, our club is a joke.

DJ: Problem will be resolved

If the younger fans think this team's rubbish, you should have seen some of the Southend Teams in the Eighties and Nineties. Complete dross. Was so painful watching them, but you support your team no matter what.

Yep , watched some of the 80's and 90's dross too.
Maybe time has dulled the pain or could be that I'm less tolerant now ???

Funny enough I saw Dave Jobson in Wickford the other day Looking over someones Motorbike ???

Anyway ask him if still a member of the David Lloyds club in Basildon ( Bas Vegas) as I am not sure to renew my membership

----- except the people with issues with Ron Martin and I think there are quite a few of those.

TSNB is right. He(and no doubt you)will remember that quite a few had "issues" with Vic Jobson too, back in the day.Perhaps, not so many as seem to with the current Chairman, however.Fourteen years and counting.Ho,hum.:tumbleweed:

If its not too late to ask - when are the club going to fix the roof on the bridge from the turnstiles for the East Greens and Blacks? Water was p**ing through onto the floor on saturday, and I worry that someone will slip over and hurt themselves. There are a good number of fan from the older generation in the Greens and Blacks, so would be goo if the leak could be fixed. Please.

Now then , now then , now then..............that wasn't called for

Apparently I need to "spread some reputattion around before 'giving it' to you". Quite inappropriate for SZ but then again I am trying to give you green rep for a peado joke.
