OD - Week 5

Mario started badly but a wicket and only a single in his last over has slowed things down again. Graham at the other end concedes 10 off his first two which is fine.

End of Over 25: 120-1, runrate=4.80, reqrunrate=7.88 (316-6)
Marriott 6-0-32-1
Shotton-oza* 4 (5 balls)
Lewington 53 (80 balls)

Last Wicket: Mills lbw b. Marriott 62 (FOW: 113/1)

Graham is shipping runs but not too badly and his first spell is over so hopefully Big Phil can come back on and keep things tight to move that run rate out of sight.

End of Over 30: 151-1, runrate=5.03, reqrunrate=8.30 (316-6)
Graham 5-0-31-0
Shotton-oza* 19 (20 balls)
Lewington 69 (95 balls)

Last Wicket: Mills lbw b. Marriott 62 (FOW: 113/1)

Another breakthrough, though it was the slower guy and it does bring a better bat to the crease, however the RRR is starting to shift quickly now. Only thing stopping us now is Graham.

End of Over 34: 167-2, runrate=4.91, reqrunrate=9.37 (316-6)
Schofield 7-0-31-1
Shotton-oza* 27 (33 balls)
Neal 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Lewington c. Lamey b. Schofield 77 (FOW: 167/2)

EDIT: Oh dear

34.2 wd Graham to Shotton-oza
Oh, dreadful ball; and rightfully called wide. Graham has supposedly been developing a new 'secret weapon' delivery in the nets - let's hope that wasn't it.
34.1 4 Graham to Shotton-oza
Lovely shot. Shotton-oza creamed that through the covers for four.

Perry gets his highest ever OD score. We're cruising.

End of Over 38: 216-1, runrate=5.68, reqrunrate=3.50 (257-9)
Mpilo 9-0-35-1
Perry* 108 (105 balls)
Sagren 47 (76 balls)

Last Wicket: Allan c. Mcgowan b. Mpilo 53 (FOW: 105/1)

27 off the last two overs means it's a straight 100 runs off the last ten and Graham is bowling two of them.

End of Over 40: 217-2, runrate=5.43, reqrunrate=10.00 (316-6)
Schofield 10-0-52-1
Neal* 20 (16 balls)
Shotton-oza 55 (53 balls)

Last Wicket: Lewington c. Lamey b. Schofield 77 (FOW: 167/2)

And that's the end of the match. Napster's XI won by 9 wickets.
Vishal flying fishes 257-9
Napster's XI 258-1

End of Over 44: 258-1, runrate=5.86
Haw 6-0-54-0
Perry* 128 (119 balls)
Sagren 69 (97 balls)

My game's tight. This over nearly killed me:

End of Over 41: 189-5, runrate=4.61, reqrunrate=7.22 (253-3)
Dickinson 6-0-34-4
Healy* 5 (12 balls)
Chill 0 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Rennie lbw b. Dickinson 0 (FOW: 189/5)
40.6 . Dickinson to Chill
On middle and leg, Chill tries to fend it away but it just clips his thigh pad on the way to the man at square leg.
40.5 W Dickinson to Rennie
That's terribly close...And the Umpire's given it. Well bowled by Dickinson and Rennie's got to go.
40.4 W Dickinson to Granville
Plumb in front of middle peg. Granville has to walk.
40.3 . Dickinson to Granville
Defends to the off, cover quick to field.
40.2 W Dickinson to Davenport
Davenport has gone for the big hit. There's a thick edge. Donald has caught it.
40.1 1 Dickinson to Healy
Tentative poke and no footwork, the ball squirts into the leg side.

End of Over 40: 188-2, runrate=4.70, reqrunrate=6.60 (253-3)
Donald 10-0-53-0
Healy* 4 (11 balls)
Davenport 86 (95 balls)
Last Wicket: Tsietsi b. Flahaven 72 (FOW: 178/2)

Now these two are still in and I need 8 off the last 2 overs.

Chill's 33 not out off 21 balls (superb/respectable) and a run a ball 40 from Healy sees us home with 7 balls to spare, winning by 5 wickets.

My oppo's quality bat got a century in this game too. Strange.

Big win though, got a great chance of going for the top division now.

Top side - dirty dogs, lose. So the dirty dogs, myself, EVG and Bobby's side will all have 16 points at the end of the day!

Kev

16 run win proving the GFI was necessary. Plums came up trumps with 4 wickets in the last ten overs.

Will view the fitness wreckage tomorrow!!
