Big defeat for me, expected too. On a green top under swinging conditions, we got them out for 227 (similar to last time we played the Ferrets) but Labont took 3 big wickets in the first 10 overs which killed us. All out 90.

Slightly disappointed, but pleased with the bowling performance, Cronin took 5 wickets. Very annoyed that a spinner took 5 on this pitch, and he's in worthless form too! Another capitulation batting-wise though. The bowling is finally getting to where I want it for now, but an extra batsman would be nice. Thikhathali will be superb/quality next season, Rennie will be at least quality, so it should be ok soon.

WOOOO HOOO!!

And that's the end of the match. ShrimperZone CC won by 1 runs.
ShrimperZone CC 158-10
Cold Beers 157-10

End of Over 47: 157-10, runrate=3.34

Firstly, thanks to BB for keeping me up to date. I got my oppo all out for 218, Guy taking 6 of the 10 wickets! Raven and Tapp got 2 a piece. Would have taken that at 10.30am this morning. The oppo tried to out smart me by opening with his weaker bowlers as i normally open with my weaker batters but seeing as this was a big game for me, i opened up with the better batters and left the weaker one's down at 7-9. Ended up winning by 6 wickets fairly comfortably and my wonderful/wonderful bowling figures were nice to see but my batting mark was average to say the least. The top side lost by 10 wickets after resting all his players and i have gone top! Wooo!

Runaway leaders put me in on their green pitch and I pleasingly made 273-4 - a sixth century of the season for opener/trainee. With them at 113 for 3 I thought it was looking good. Sadly I took no more and they won in 49th, no big PFL hit as least.

Now gone from 2nd to 5th in two weeks. Need to win 2 of 3 to avoid playoff and sadly it won't be next week so a nailbiting season finale for me.
