OD Week 11

The General

The Mouse (*)
Great great start for me. Up against a team who are probably better than me on paper and they have managed to control PFL much better lately! They are probably a little better on the bowling front but they are much better batters but i have managed to get 2 wickets early on both who have averaged over 100 this season!

End of Over 2: 9-2, runrate=4.50
Guy 1-0-5-1
Ramzam* 5 (4 balls)
Johnson 2 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Groves c. Browne b. Guy 1 (FOW: 4/2)

We'll use Kev's one :)

Full strength, full fitness, GFI.

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Cumbria

We can tell you that BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloudy and humid day.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB has a couple at Energetic, so she's at full strength and GFI

Crusaders C.C. v DIBS DIPPERS

We can tell you that DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this partially cloud day.

Also forgot to mention that its a batting friendly wicket today and that Raven and Jackman have swapped roles mainly down to the fact that although Raven will/is expensive, he does take wickets whereas Jackman is much better at restricting teams but not always penetrating against the better batters so hopefully bowling in the middle of the innings, he can both slow the NRR down and take the wickets!

Kev

Great start by Del-Boy

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Cumbria

BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Cracked

End of Over 5: 17-3, runrate=3.40
Middleton 3-0-4-3
Cornwall* 1 (1 balls)
Swales 12 (16 balls)

Last Wicket: Buxton c. Evelyn b. Middleton 4 (FOW: 16/3)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Early wicket for Mrs BB, but RR quite high

Crusaders C.C. v DIBS DIPPERS

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 5: 27-1, runrate=5.40
Mohammed 3-0-12-1
Glasby* 8 (12 balls)
Warne 18 (17 balls)

Last Wicket: Low b. Mohammed 0 (FOW: 0/1)

Glad to see i beat you and Loz to it! I was waiting & waiting for someone to start one and thought as i wont be about much today, i will start it off!

Kev

World of trouble, Mccloud doing the damage

End of Over 8: 13-3, runrate=1.63
Pierce 4-1-3-1
Hulse* 2 (3 balls)
Hoult 0 (18 balls)

Last Wicket: Barnett b. Mccloud 3 (FOW: 11/3)

Thought I'd have a bat for a change as we've been terrible at chasing down totals. Was going to rest Richie but put him back in about 10 seconds before the orders deadline!

End of Over 8: 58-1, runrate=7.25
Canoville 4-0-32-1
Cunningham* 30 (18 balls)
Cook 14 (8 balls)

Last Wicket: Sajjad c. Jannie b. Canoville 13 (FOW: 34/1)

End of Over 11: 60-4, runrate=5.45
Raven 6-0-32-2
Johnson* 26 (28 balls)
Garrity 4 (5 balls)

Last Wicket: Evan b. Raven 0 (FOW: 46/4)

Jackman on now for Guy. The top team have rested all their star players and will un-doubtedly lose! Done me a huge favour and it makes today's game even more important!

Kev

I again fail to make a breakthrough in bowling friendly conditions with the new ball. This is something I'm going to have to address.

This isn't going to take long

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Cumbria

BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Cracked

End of Over 14: 36-6, runrate=2.57
Schoeman 7-2-19-2
Cunningham* 0 (1 balls)
Nugent 0 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Tate b. Schoeman 0 (FOW: 36/6)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB taking a bit of a pasting at the moment

Crusaders C.C. v DIBS DIPPERS

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 14: 94-2, runrate=6.71
York 2-0-21-0
Bromby* 26 (18 balls)
Glasby 36 (34 balls)

Last Wicket: Warne c. Bowler b. Mohammed 26 (FOW: 43/2)

not bad for a spinner on an uneven pitch... i'm on a GFI so was expecting to win but surprised at this, his top order looked like prof-strong players.

The players are off the field for the break between innings.

End of Over 15: 43-10, runrate=2.87
Cairns 8-3-10-7
Searle* 1 (1 balls)

Ouch.

End of Over 23: 112-4, runrate=4.87
Huddlestone 5-1-15-2
Askew* 19 (39 balls)
Sandile 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Curtis c. Browne b. Huddlestone 0 (FOW: 112/4)

22.5 W Huddlestone to Curtis
Beautifully disguised top spinner nicked to the keeper. No shame there son, Huddlestone is just too good.
22.4 W Huddlestone to Cunningham
Oh dear. Cunningham only half commits to that delivery and a feeble piece of strokeplay gives the keeper an easy edge. A bread and butter catch for Browne that one.

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Cumbria

BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Cracked

End of Over 23: 53-9, runrate=2.30
Prasad 5-3-6-2
Cunningham* 15 (26 balls)
Heath 0 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Johnstone c. Middleton b. Prasad 1 (FOW: 53/9)

If I can knock this off in about 6 overs, could make a big difference.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB going for a few but picking up wickets at the same time

Crusaders C.C. v DIBS DIPPERS

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 23: 132-5, runrate=5.74
Bowler 2-1-8-1
Lake* 4 (5 balls)
Traynor 0 (5 balls)

Last Wicket: Ghandi c. Stride b. Bowler 4 (FOW: 132/5)

Hmmm, only just realised we're on a dusty pitch. Boo! Hopefully Saj will have his fingers warmed up.

End of Over 26: Bargord CC 78-6, runrate=3.00
Simms 8-1-23-3
Sainsbury* 1 (6 balls)
Wallwork 0 (5 balls)

Last Wicket: Norris lbw b. Mcgreal 4 (FOW: 76/6)

And that's the end of the match. Pettefershire CCC won by 10 wickets.
Chubby Chasers 43-10
Pettefershire CCC 45-0

Could do without this last wicket stand

Last Wicket: Johnstone c. Middleton b. Prasad 1 (FOW: 53/9)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Big 10 overs coming up for Mrs BB

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 30: 150-5, runrate=5.00
Eagles 10-0-43-1
Traynor* 5 (24 balls)
Lake 17 (28 balls)

Last Wicket: Ghandi c. Stride b. Bowler 4 (FOW: 132/5)

It's an uneven pitch so hopefully 130 should be a good score if I can get that much.

End of Over 31: 87-5, runrate=2.81
Maybury 6-0-27-0
Gamage* 24 (41 balls)
Walmsley 7 (15 balls)

Last Wicket: Hoult b. Pierce 27 (FOW: 69/5)

I'm being spun out of the game!

Askew* 25 (59 balls)
Julian 0 (2 balls)
