OD mathday 8

335-2, 16 all out. 5fers for Suthers & Cooky, that means Suthers is now 4.77 average in OD and 3.95 average in FC. What a guy.

Bet you wished, like me, that you had bowled first, eh!

:fart:
Not really, I'd have struggled to get a better NRR than 6.38 and neither of my best two batsmen played. On the assumption that milestones assist XP I can reap the benefit of a ton, two half tons and 2 5fers.

Wazzes Wanderers v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Wazzes Wanderers won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Dusty

End of Over 32: 141-7, runrate=4.41, reqrunrate=11.17 (341-2)
Middleton 6-0-33-1
Pye* 0 (1 balls)
Hoult 21 (37 balls)

Last Wicket: Mansell c. Middleton b. Oconnor 2 (FOW: 135/7)

Winner takes all next week !

I'd only pay that much if he already had the stamina in place, certainly wouldn't give up my interest for him.

Too late!

My £4.763m bid was accepted. I wouldn't have gone any higher.

I've paid a slight premium for his age, but it means I can single net him up to sensational or exceptional, meaning that once his fitness have recovered I should be able to play him most games. In the mean time, I'll try and bump his stamina up a level or two. Hopefully he is a high mediocre stamina.

Any ideas how long it would take to get to invigorated from drained? I might be able to get a game or two out of him this season.

As for interest, I've now got just over £600,000 in the bank, meaning I'll lose about £60,000 a week until I get my cash surplus back up. I might try and sell some of my 17yo competents now I've got someone worth using nets on.

I won my game by 9 wickets which I'm hoping will be enough to earn me a play-off game. I should win next week as Scaly Piscine has written off this season. He'll finish 8th. Today's opponents, Michael Fish, are now 3 wins behind me, which should be too much for them to make up.

About 3 weeks with no games and no training. Mediocre stamina takes 3 days to raise 1 level of PFL. Each Primary training session costs about 0.4 of a level in PFL, each Stamina training session costs about 0.8 of a level in PFL.

Nice win YB, any chance of making top 4 ?

Cheers, with 2 training sessions a week its going to more or less write off this season, but I was looking for reinforcements more for next season as I couldn't see myself being able to afford anyone who could improve my team this season and as I said I think I've more or less secured a relegation play-off **crosses fingers**. He might debut in a play-off game!

Any preference on your play off opponent? I see Phils Hotspurs have lost a game so it could be them which would certainly be a tough one!

Wazzes Wanderers v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Wazzes Wanderers won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Dusty
And that's the end of the match. BATTY SHRIMPERS won by 186 runs.
BATTY SHRIMPERS 341-2
Wazzes Wanderers 155-10

I though I read that Scaly Piscine was packing it in for good, due to the way that, according to him, PFL had ruined the game !

I don't think so. I might be able to beat Bulldogs - I'm not quite sure what he is doing, he's sold some players and I'm not sure how he's planning on splashing the cash.

If I beat Bulldogs I'll have a chance of 5th, but I'm not sure I could stay above anyone else. I suppose I could have half a chance last game of the season against Cow Corner depending on how we both fare in first class, but they've got a bigger lead in fc and so are likely to have wrapped up their division before me, if I even win mine.

Nick looks like he may lose, he's fielding.

End of Over 38: 205-4, runrate=5.39, reqrunrate=4.08 (253-10)
Storer 9-0-58-0
Vermaak* 27 (24 balls)
Laws 98 (118 balls)

Last Wicket: Bellwood lbw b. Jameson 11 (FOW: 154/4)

Shame as he was planning to rest the whole team next week then GFI against Veets who are top. Anderson to come back, not over yet.

Ok, Nick's hopes may be dashed now he's realised that Anderson finished his overs long ago! :D

not a good day to be a bowler in my game, but we couldn't do enough despite some heroics from the last pair... time to invest in the seam attack methinks

Talaton Trotters won by 17 runs.
Talaton Trotters 338-3
Pettefershire CCC 321-4
End of Over 50: 321-4, runrate=6.42
Mapie 10-0-74-1
Horsfield* 85 (54 balls)
Daniel 32 (28 balls)

a fair bit. there's a med/comp/resp 17yo who's finishing tomorrow morning if that helps as a comparison: Haq

A huge result in my league today for Dream Frequency. A decent outfit but have struggled with PFL this year, managed to beat the team who were joint 2nd which leaves them on 20. Red Roses sit on 24 and me on 28. Next week i play ... Red Roses! Basically, if i win this, the top spot should be all mine as i can go 8 clear, with just 5 to play. I have an easy FC game this week which means i can save my big guns for Friday where i'll be looking for a nice win!
