OD - Match 5

Spent 10.9m on this. That was the extent of my budget, couldn't afford anymore than that. Bank balance is -94k, wish update wasn't tomorrow but that's life. Good price or too much?
Good price I reckon. Superb* Stamina is a bonus. Elite Experience as well. Only minor prob is PFL, but you can soon sort that out.

Good effort from 117-5. Bowling conditions, so could be interesting if we can knock a couple over early doors.

End of Over 50: 193-10, runrate=3.86
Henshall 10-1-32-4
Evelyn* 117 (146 balls)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think Mrs BB may have enough....

End of Over 50: 363-1, runrate=7.26
Uys 10-0-84-0
Hutton* 193 (157 balls)
Morgan 144 (133 balls)

Last Wicket: Potter Run Out 22 (FOW: 55/1)

PFL is frustrating, but no different to the rest of my team - all got a week to recover with BT20 next week, thankfully.

Have put Rautenbach and Granville up for touting to see if I can get any bites for good money. Need to get back to 1.8m in the bank again soon.

Awful start with the bat. Davenport out first ball. Oddly Healy hit the hattrick ball for six! Uphill battle to win this.

End of Over 6: 26-2, runrate=4.33, reqrunrate=4.70 (232-4)
Bean 3-0-15-2
Chill* 9 (24 balls)
Healy 6 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Davenport c. Kumar b. Bean 0 (FOW: 20/2)

EDIT: This is just silly...

7.2 W Bean to Granville
Granville is squared up by a delivery which leaves him off the pitch, edging to first slip where Lunt just hangs on to the catch.
7.1 W Bean to Healy
Looks like Healy ate all of the pies. He just couldn't get any speed up there and is run out.

End of Over 7: 30-2, runrate=4.29, reqrunrate=4.72 (232-4)
Greenwood 4-1-10-0
Healy* 6 (1 balls)
Chill 13 (30 balls)
Last Wicket: Davenport c. Kumar b. Bean 0 (FOW: 20/2)

easy enough

If someone told me we would hit 281 today I'd have laughed in their face! We even managed to take a couple of cheeky wickets but the current batsmen have a combined BTR of 671k.

End of Over 26: 157-2, runrate=6.04, reqrunrate=5.21 (281-10)

Jones takes some punishment but Yeates at the other end bowls 0-13 in his first spell. Got to love defensive spinners on v defensive orders...

Comfortably my best RS. Record OD attendance as well.

First match where I've fielded a minimum of a strong primary for the first XI

I've got a feeling that this game is going to cost me at the end of the season. Not saying I would have definitely won, but at 32-3 with Schoeman coming on in bowler-friendly conditions we would have had a chance...

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Bogeymen

Napster's XI JPs Sloggers
Top Order: sensational wonderful
Middle Order: proficient strong
Lower Order: woeful abysmal
Seam Bowling: remarkable remarkable
Spin Bowling: superb useless
Fielding: mediocre feeble

MOTM: Perry

To only have a -0.71 NRR change from these ratings was quite pleasing!! Was also pleased to see my reserve bowlers knock over 2 of their Elite top order.

Nonetheless, that's one win from five OD games, relegation looking likely.

ShrimperZone CC Yamas
Top Order: sensational elite
Middle Order: mediocre superb
Lower Order: worthless worthless
Seam Bowling: mediocre exceptional
Spin Bowling: feeble remarkable

in, get.

And that's the end of the match. Pettefershire CCC won by 27 runs.

Well unlike most of you lot PUNCHING in Level 2 (you know it!!) i actually managed to win another game today. A comfortable 8 wicket win for my boys after chasing down 141 in about 30 overs with all the bowlers taking wickets. I now sit 3rd just a single win behind the top 2, both who are on 16!! Going to be a very tight and competitive league thats for sure.

Also expanded my ground

Capacity: 40725
Standing Room: 18500 (+2500)
Uncovered Seats: 15250 (+1750)
Covered Seats: 5400 (+1000)
Members Seats: 1575 (+350)

as sold out in all areas today and with just over 3 million in the bank, im doing okay money wise!!

With 20 20 next week, depending on fitness, i should be able to field a team to win each game and confirm my place in 1st place in this format!

Triple promotion?! Bring it on.

Kev
