OD Final Week 14

Nick could still be in for promotion.

Rehtakul Veets CC&FC are in danger of losing their game, which would give Nick the league on NRR.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The King fell to a Drained, (at best) Proficient bowler :(, but Fat-Boy and Brucie are taking us to victory

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Royston Vasey

BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Dusty

End of Over 25: 179-1, runrate=7.16, reqrunrate=4.76 (297-4)
Spiller 3-0-20-0
Ricketts* 79 (76 balls)
Schoeman 43 (36 balls)

Last Wicket: Evelyn c. Goodall b. Henry 54 (FOW: 113/1)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Easy victory for Mrs BB, and Harry ensures himself an average of over 100 for the OD season.

DIBS DIPPERS v The WrongUns

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Cracked

End of Over 28: 179-0, runrate=6.39, reqrunrate=0.50 (189-10)
Terrell 9-0-60-0
Hutton* 67 (83 balls)
Potter 106 (87 balls)

had the relegation battle today against Bajans for Blighty- they apparently didn't fancy it as (on a GFI, admittedly) i knocked them over for 43 and got the runs quickly. with the other result going my way too, i'll finish in 5th with a play-off to come. Am unsure whether i wouldn't be better off dropping to VI for the one-dayers for a season (giving me the chance to save some fitness for what i expect to be a tough FC campaign having stayed up in V). However, i suspect my unerring sense of not wanting to get beat will stop any ideas of throwing the play-off.

Still cruising to victory, and a century for Fat-Boy

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Royston Vasey

BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Dusty

End of Over 31: 221-1, runrate=7.13, reqrunrate=4.05 (297-4)
Spiller 6-0-42-0
Ricketts* 110 (103 balls)
Schoeman 54 (45 balls)

Last Wicket: Evelyn c. Goodall b. Henry 54 (FOW: 113/1)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Great win for Mrs BB, which ensures she finishes 4th, a fine effort in her 1st season at level IV, and a tough level IV at that.

DIBS DIPPERS v The WrongUns

The match is over. DIBS DIPPERS won by 10 wickets.
The WrongUns 189-10
DIBS DIPPERS 190-0

Got them all out for 153 an knocked off the runs in 26 overs, with a sensational seam attack, imagine when Savage and Plummer are fully fit. Was 7th before the game with a NRR of 3 worse than 6th but level on points, but just saw that they lost, so will have a playoff game. Need the money, can't wait till the members confidence is reset.

Blimey, Nick did it! League leaders lost by 9 runs and he wins the league on superior NRR!

Kev you tit!

Won very comfortably on a TIE - sadly my trainee bat promoted to opener only managed 70 and blew chance of Division top bat.

Onto a playoff next to stay up and hoping for an easy game - assume I get home advantage ?

Well my play off to stay in Div V will be a breeze - extra money and a simple victory - yay

same here i suspect- up against a team that only started in november, has lost a lot of it's recent games, and has awful pfl. would be a tricky one to throw even if i wanted to...
