NRL season starts

The pace of the game has really gone up a few notches with the introduction of two refs and this appears to be leading to fatigue and mistakes being made. It's really making for a great spectacle, I'm actually being converted (pun intended) into a bit of a fan.

It helps I suppose having your local side contain some of the world's greatest players (as much as Southend United will be my true love they will never be able to match that) in Lockyer, Hodges, Hunt and Folau. What about that Folau try? Amazing!

Just watched an unforgettable Challenge Cup tie. Bradford 26-0 ahead early in the second half but Catalans end up winning 40-38. I think shell-shocked is Bulls players reactions. It wasn't as of it was horrific defending either. Just good tries and panic!

I'm sorely tempted by the prospect of a long weekend in Perpignan for Dragons v Quins.

That was fantastic. This Leeds vs Saints game is shaping up nicely too, although I doubt we'll see 78 points scored!

Just how good is James Roby in that dummy half position? Not the most spectacular but technically the best try of the afternoon.
