Just dont get it.

Top goal scorer. Top assists.

Rest of the team also out of form.

Goals hard to come by.

Still, we have Straker, lets hope he can provide the ammunition for the front two.

Doesnt matter. He hasn't been playing well and deserves to be dropped. So do a lot of others but we have plenty of cover in midfield. Hopefully he will get his head down and work hard to get back in the team and get back to his earlier form. Phil has given him enough chance to play himself back into form but he hasn't done it.

It won't settle any debates if it's an away game. It'll need to be a home game and even then probably a whole run of home defeats.
That assumes that nobody from SZ is attending the game and we don't have the benefit of a match report or two.
you will be saying that after the game IF we lose. Your saying it beforehand though so in the event of winning handsomely, will you still use the above comment as an argument??

I'm not using anything as an argument!! I would just like to see Payne and Freddie start a game for once instead of coming on late on as I think they deserve a chance, is that a problem?

Why is he so reluctant to change an underperforming side? I get not changing a winning side, but we've been pretty underwhelming to say the least lately.

Wanted to see Payne start at least. We appear to be lacking creativity, which Laird won't bring. I rate Laird highly but he's not a playmaker, he's a steady the ship kind of player. All Brown has really done is make one forced change in midfield due to Lenny playing right back and dropped Hurst for Barnard (why?).

Really like Tango, but getting a bit frustrating now. Watch them go and win 6-0 now I've said this!

surprised not to see people changing their prediction news on this line-up..................thought about it.......Oh, what the hell! Perhaps it WAS PB's intention to play Payne but was obliged to change his ideas with the injury of Thompson. that's a great blow, when will our injury woes end? Can't say I'm brimming with confidence. :stunned:

Totally agree, what harm will it do? We haven't won in the last 7 so it's not like we are breaking a winning streak. We need solutions to our problem and fast or we could risk missing out on the play offs.

There have been loads of people on here saying Hurst is out of form and should be dropped.

Not something I agree with because even if he is out of form so is the rest of the team but he has done what many have said he should do.

As for not making changes he has changed formation, thats pretty major. Plus Laird is back to make 3 changes (enforced or not)

Hurst has shown his ability over the course of this season whereas Barnard has looked well short of the mark every time he's played. I don't see what it achieves dropping an out of form player who's played the best football of his career this season for an out of form player playing probably the worst football of his career this season.

He hasn't really changed formation as such though. In our last 5 games we've played 4-4-2 three times and 4-3-3 twice. He's simply reverted back to a formation that wasn't anymore successful of late than the 4-3-3.

Formation isn't the issue. It's personnel that are the issue at the moment and why he's not giving the likes of Eastwood and Payne a real fair crack of the whip is beyond me.

I think Barnard will score tonight, and before any bright sparks make any comments, I mean on the pitch.

We need to get back to winning ways, just to maintain a play off spot, having been to Oxford and Portsmouth away, what fantastic games they were, as I`m sure their are many others, but, hopefully we have had our blip and let`s push on from here to the end of the season and see where we are come the end of the season.

Come on you Shrimpers

Sounds like the team and formation is a complete shambles. Brown is quickly wrecking this season
