If you played Southend Utd on FIFA 14, online gaming, you all would be frustrated at the lack of pace in our team!
I love your posts normally Murkey, but FIFA 14 is just a game and not fully realistic to real life. In the same way that my Champions League winning performances in FM have never won me the England job
What Champions League managers have been given the England managers job? You need a better analogy :winking:
Only 4 points ahead of 8th now and 8 points off 3rd. We need a serious improvement in form and quick otherwise another season in League Two beckons. I don't understand why a team with Barry Corr, Freddy Eastwood and Lee Barnard isn't scoring enough goals. Now isn't the time to be playing Football Manager and messing with different systems, although I don't think Brown can be criticised too much for his team selection. He had few options at the back, many have been calling for Laird to play and Hurst needed a kick up the backside. Start Payne and Williams on Saturday, inject a bit of youth and energy into the team. Can't do any worse than the current lot are.

Fabio Capello (and Steve Tilson in FM 2006)
Hahaha! I completely forgot that one too.
Does anyone know when we last went 1-0 up in a game? Daggers? It's almost a month ago!
Didn't we go 1-0 up against Hartlepool a couple of matches back and we were also 2-1 up against Exeter; so not sure being ahead in games is making a difference either!!!
Yeah I'm still up north after Saturday but if I were down south I still don't think I could've brought myself to go tonight. We look so flat, low on confidence and ideas at the moment. Our goals are coming from set pieces and mistakes from the other team rather than good play on our part. Love the way Phil Brown has made us more attractive, until recently, to watch this season but it does appear like he struggles to turn round poor runs. We had a similar spell at the start of the season too
Sacking Sturrock and bringing in Brown did us the world of good didnt it.
How fickle are we if we have a run of poor results and start talking about sacking a manager that everyone was raving about 6 weeks ago.
13 goals in 56 appearances in that season. 1 goal in more than 4 games, hardly inspiring.
Did add a different option and will always remember the overhead goal against Port Vale and the goal against Bristol City, but I was never his biggest fan.
Indeed..
No we didnt, and we wouldnt have done any better with Gray just because he was "quick" either.
Straker isnt there to score goals is he, Hurst has scored and created far more without his pace. Still at least Straker is quick...
Pace is a great attribute, as long as you bring something else to the table.
Freddy seemed to do fine when Gray didnt play though eh...
No one seemed to mind when we were winning.
Its pretty petty looking at that as any sort of reason for the teams poor form.
As if him not commentating on the game the other night would have meant anything could have been done to improve the team performance, whats he going to do get the team training in the evenings?

....never had anything negative to say after all these years Splinterman! It is allowed you know, a message board where positive/negative views are welcome.
I simply want a derby to look forward to, should we fail to reach the play off!
Never fear, Dagenham will be happy to oblige. You can have a sad little singalong about 'ating Borient together. :whistling:
