Thing is I was resigned to going down untill Tuesday night now I just want to see Tilly cover all angles!

This is my major concern. Would feel a lot happier if the squad numbered 20 and not 18. And if we suddenly had several players injured then we cant recall anyone out on loan till their time is up. (Remember Edwards at Grays last season after Sodje got injured)

I'm very surprised we havn't signed a midfielder, thought by the all the midfield players we were selling that that tilly surely had a replacement lined up. i desperately do not want to see hunt or clarke in midfield again, shame would had to lose gutts has he would have been a great raplacement if we needed him.

If Mitchell Cole was potentially so crucial to our plans of staying up why was the only team after him one that is in a relegation battle in the Conference?

however i reckon clarkey would be miles better now as a CM than he was earlier in the season, his distribution is much improved...

No chance.

Clarke is not a midfielder, his passing is woeful.

If we need him for a one off game he can play there but to be honest Id rather Hunt play there.

The other thing is the lack of competition in midfield which could have a detremental effect on both Maher and Macca as they are gaurantee'ed a place!

Maher hasn't had any competition for about 8 seasons and it has never affected his form. :minger:

You can bet your life that Tilly tried hard. I'm not as unduly worried as others. Both Bradders and the newbie can play in CM if needed and though they might not be best suited we can at least rely on Francis or Hunt to give us 100% when the need arises.

Not ideal I grant you, but I'd rather be concerned about lack of midfield cover with a tight knit friendly squad busting a gut to continue this run than 9 points adrift with a couple of dissenters in the ranks.

if either Maher or Mcormack are out gower can slip in to the middle and foran can play on the left, Middle of the park was Gower's prefered position

as ive already mentioned gower seems to have trouble making 90 min playing wide what he would be like running about in mid field he might have to go off at half time
