Heard a rumour on Tuesday that Wolves have offered £250,000 + Mulgrew for Baily.

What would you do if you were the manager

Its all very well us sayin "f**k Off" to wolves, but if we dont get up to the level they are, will Sir Nick want to leave :S Bit worrying if you ask me. He is by far are best plater! and him and McCormack are the best partnerships ive seen in the center of midfield for Southend in some time!

If we were to sell Nicky B then we defenetly wouldn't sell him to Wolves no matter how much money they offered. I think the way the have treated Freddy Eastwood is appauling.

McCarthy would ruin Bailey just like Eastwood

Bailey, Kightly and Eastwood!! Anyone would kill for them 3 in their team if they signed Bailey.

In regards to the rumour, NO WAY PRICK McCARTHY!

I think we may have to concede that if we don't go up, we may lose Nicky - galling, but so be it.

However, Mulgrew + 250K? Fuhgeddaboudit. Mulgrew + 750K is more like it. Bailey is very hot property, and there are at least half a dozen clubs interested in him. One of those is QPR, who have got money to burn at the moment...

You don't get permission to build a big new ground and then sell your best players. It will never happen. The club seem to be hugely ambitious and i think we will spend big in the summer. So **** OFF WOLVES!!!

Well said, I think he loves it here aswell IF we go up then we will keep him if we don't its touch and go though.

250K & Mulgrew is miles away from what he is worth...Even if we dont go up i think we will spend big in the summer to get us up next season & we need to keep our best players,he also seems to love it here & we dont want to see him ruined like Eastwood has been..

One positive to take form this if there is any substance to this is that Wolves are willing to let Mulgrew go. Take Bailey out of the equation and I would love us to be able to sign him.

I turned down £2.7m from him on Football Manager 2008 last night and I feel Ron Martin should follow my lead.

On the other hand, I now have a very ****ed off flame-haired captain.

I don't think we'll spend big in the summer - the accounts that came with the share offering indicated we were losing quite a bit of cash at the moment - so not sure where any cash to spend will come from (unless we get promotion and then maybe some will be spent from anticipated increased TV, sponsorship, ticket revenue etc)
